On behalf of the Koh’s & our extended family, I would like to sincerely thank all dedicated staff of A.Life Grad Funeral Services LLP for providing us with an excellent one-stop professional service arrangement for our mother/grandmother/great grandmother's funeral. Special thanks must be accorded to Mr John Pang (Funeral Advisor) for his dedicated service in advising and coordinating all the numerous complex tasks at different stages of the wake for us. Without him, we would have been at a total lost right from the start. All these services were painstakingly explained to us in detail, whenever we were in doubt at the funeral site by John. John and team made decision-making so much easier and attended to all the details, so that we could fully focus on receiving our relatives and friends during the duration of the wake & prayer session, in memory of our dear mother/grandmother/great grandmother. Losing someone who was extremely close and dear to us was extremely heart-wrenching. John and his team were very genuine in providing a professional and personalised service - They were very attentive and sensitive to our needs and could empathise with us during our time of grief. The wake set up was nicely decorated and exuded a serene atmosphere. Relatives & friends from different religious groups complimented that it projected a sense of peacefulness. The tables were pleasantly decorated with skirting and pots of flowers. This took many of us by surprise. There were even two dedicated service staff who assisted to clear and serve drinks on a daily basis. John and his team had definitely projected a professional image for the funeral service industry. It was neither cold nor morbid. Through their warm actions, they were able to empathise and understand our loss. The serene setting erased the morbid nature of death. It was utterly disappointing with the let down in service for the funeral. Online review can't be trusted them more since we had a good first experience and was expecting the same experience. However, it just proves what I been hearing from friends that some in this industry take full advantage of the bereaved during their time of sorrow to make more money. I will NEVER recommend anymore and encourage anyone reading this to consider twice

Letting go of a loved one is never easy, in fact a very difficult process and we are very fortunate to have found Vincent ( Funeral Director ) and his magnificent team, living up to their reputation and surpassing our expectation to our recent bereavement. They genuinely understand experiencing the death of a loved one for the first time can be confusing and scary and can lead to questions about death, death related rituals, and grief. No words can adequately expressed the immediate personalized attention Vincent has given at the time of need. Dear Vincent and Team, especially Bernie, (Funeral Advisor), we want to say a BIG thank you for being extraordinary in providing great comfort to my aunt and family and of conveying the serenity and gentle guidance with the death and funeral process. Bernie, your prompt, sincere, attention to details, complete care services were commendable. You have put us at ease, while allowing us to focus on comforting each other as we prepare to say goodbye to our beloved loss, June’s loving Dad. It’s rare to see the special touches like providing servicing staff for a charitable cause, flowers pots on tastefully decorated table. It is these little unexpected acts of kindness that are worth more than gold. Needless to say, the last journey was professionally managed and the whole process was simply seamless ! Thank you John , Vincent and staffs of A.life grad for doing such a serene and peaceful buddism funeral for my PoPo. The makeup of Popo recieved great compliment of looking natural , peaceful and beautiful. Modern and Greenery Setup was also complimented by many guest even thou they are not buddism. The staff professionalism and whole funeral services was something we had never seen before, thank you all?? Keep up the good work and all the best A.lifegrad peeps.

Stanley handled my mum wake professionally and ensure we have enough time with my mum the very last moment. The place was set up beautifully and all details are brief very patiently.

We are grateful to A.Life Grad for giving my late-MIL the honour and dignity she deserves. Any death in the family is always too much to bear. Furthermore, the death of my MIL was abrupt and unexpected, so having a proper closure is important. Firstly, something that most people are concerned about is the pricing. When I was young, funeral expenses were always difficult to account for because it would be hard to expect what the final costs will turn out to be. This was not the case with A.Life Grad. Package prices are stated on the website and we were charged exactly that with no hidden costs (other than consumables and accessories like food and snacks which were told to us upfront). Not only that, they were not calculative when we needed some upgrades here and there, such as more fans since it was a really hot and humid place. Any other additional add-ons were entirely optional and explained to us upfront. At the end of the day, we paid what we expected, every cent paid was accounted for and more. The funeral setup was clean and professional. The furniture provided were of decent quality. The reception desk was also neatly decorated. There was no sign of shabbiness in the entire setup. A special mention to Stanley, the assigned Funeral Director, who is a reliable and compassionate man. He is unlike any other funeral directors I have encountered in the past - there is no doubt Stanley knows his stuffs but he engages the family with sensitivity and compassion. He made us feel comfortable and that we could trust him to make things run smoothly. Unlike funerals I had attended in the past, this was truly a fuss-free one. We literally did not have to worry much other than to attend to guests and making some important post-life decisions. Stanley and his team were easily reachable and for whatever we needed, we only had to drop them a message. We did not even have to worry about preparing for and the distribution of traditional items during funeral day (towel sets, coins etc). The team saw to all these arrangements so the family could just focus on the mourning. On funeral day, they were professionally dressed and accorded the appropriate respects to my MIL - that is something we don’t always see. During the funeral day, Sunny, the designated emcee, hosted the entire procession skilfully with a surprisingly appropriate library for background music - my in-laws were Cantonese and the relevant Cantonese songs played during the eulogy touched their hearts. It is unlike any other funerals I had attended - Sunny did a great job creating an appropriate atmosphere and speaking the right words. Guests who visited all gave positive feedback about the funeral. Many said it was unlike most that they had attended in the past - many expected indifferent industry seniors blindly imposing strict traditions but it turned out to be a group of compassionate young professionals who take pride in what they do. Maybe that is why they can relate better to the needs of the current mourning generation and tailor the funeral to our needs and expectations. Kudos to Vincent, the boss, who built this team of passionate, compassionate young professionals. It won’t be something I look forward to, but I now know who to approach should the need ever arises again. Thanks once again.
