β β β β β Well know for Briyani for many but I find the food is very average. The surroundings and the food court seems very busy during the lunch time. Itβs better to do takeout than dine in. There was not enough meat on the bone.
Mutton Briyani comes with boiled egg, Rytha, Red spicy curry and Papadams.

β β β β β Don't waste time, waste money.
$6.50 for the "set" with one hard boiled egg + papadom
$5.50 just the rice n meat.
If I may, this is the worst briyani I have ever tasted. Don't get cheated by the photos at the stalls or the food blogger, D something diary or how many days that website.
the cutlery are all disposable, even dining in, not even a piece of banana leaf. OK, fine. Maybe due to Cov, that's y use disposable? OK, let's get into how bad the food was!
The mutton has very very little meat. Whole chunk of BONE! It's cold!
the briyani rice is not flavorful, almost tasteless. It's cold!! Not hot at all
The curry gravy is not thick, doesn't have curry taste at all.
The only hot thing at the stall, is the vege curry. At least uncle gave me a piece of carrot in it.
Would I go back again? Definitely NO!
If I can, I would give NEGATIVE 5 STARS.
TERRIBLE briyani

β β β β β Had the mutton briyani a few days ago. I think the standard dipped over the years. That said the star is definitely the Briyani rice. It has somewhat of a buttery texture and aroma to it, and is flavourful and moist enough so they only provide a small bowl of curry. Mutton is good too without being overly gamey but the piece I got had a large bone (which is good since meat closer to the bone is generally more tender, but bad since there was little meat.. You can't win them all.. ?) and papadum is... Well is papadum (Good that it's served crispy unlike many other places but lacking in the herbs and seasonings department). They don't serve achar. Overall the rice is really the highlight. If you're looking for a briyani to satisfy your cravings do give it a shot. Price can be a little high for the portion given but then again food prices have been on the rise. Given that it's in tekka there are so many other stalls there which are equally as good if not possibly better. Just my opinion..

β β β β β I m so happy with their service .
My family and I had been eating this briyani since year 2006. It's been so long.
Recently they open another branch at Blk 85 Redhill hawker center, just only less than a week . I so happy because , I stay nearby so I told myself, I no need to go tekka market anymore but it was quite disappointed when my chicken briyani from Redhil market was sold to me in a overcook soft tight chicken , half of the chicken flesh was gone and I was upset about it .
Today I went to Tekka market after my work and I share my experience with the tekka branch, immediately they gave me free as a replacement for my bad experience yesterday at Redhill hawker center.
Wow I was surprised and felt touch?this is their way of maintaining their customers.
I really glad they offer to me the replacement even thought it's not from tekka branch that sold me the overcook chicken but I believe they represent the entire branch because the business comes from the same Boss ?.
I definitely will be continuing eating from this company Allauddin's Briyani, especially from Tekka market.
As you can see the photo, my chicken tight is not overcook ?.
So if you around tekka market, do try their Briyani.
Enjoy!!

β β β β β Biryani (SGD $6) @ Allauddin's Biryani.
.
Since 1968 when it was established by the late Shaikallauddin Mohamed, this stall has been reowned for its consistently tasty biryani across all their outlets.
.
Now operated by the 2nd and 3rd generations, Haji Mohamed and Jahabarali Mohammad Farhad, preparations for their secret spice mix is done at their central kitchen, according to their family recipe originating from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India.
.
The rice and meat are cooked separately, then stacked on the plate. Infused with saffron, cardamom, turmeric, and other spices, the basmati rice is fluffy, with light yet distinct savoury spice sweet earthy flavours.
.
The mutton isn't gamey, with bold meaty savoury salty spice notes, but the texture is a little more firm with a light chew. The hard boiled egg is nicely springy soft with eggy sweet flavour.
.
The curry gravy is thin but holds good vegetal sweet spice flavour, thanks to the chunks of potatoes and carrots stewed within, all of which are nicely soft.
.
Some crunchy pickled cucumbers with refreshing vegetal sweet sour flavour, and crisp papadum, completes this dish.

β β β β β Not sure why this place has a low rating. Maybe it's because it used to be better and for a hawker it's relatively expensive. The portion is good and the biryani is full of flavor and you can clearly tell each spice used.
