Frankly another Singapore national Taoist Religio-cultural heritage tucked away in the densely populated West Coast precincts in our unique and harmonious multi-racial-religio-cultural metropolitan society ! A pity our Tourism Promotion Board has missed out this spectacular tourist attraction as one of the most-visited heritage site...

Ang Chee Sia Ong Temple is the best place to experience divinity through Taoism and the deity β€œChee Tian Dasan” / Soo Woon Kong is revered in Hinduism is as Lord Hanuman. Excellent stories from history is engraved in temple compound walls which elucidates moral values to the mankind.

The Ang Chee Sia Ong Temple is a newly built temple from 1997. A Taoist, Mahayana Buddhist but also Confucianism Temple with numerous statues and decorations dedicated to various Gods and Deities. It is located in Ayer Rajah, West of Singapore, embedded between the Hawker Center and Housing estate. With this unique location it forms a center of the community. Even so build only in 1997 it has a very ancient Chinese building style with various roof levels, corners, ornaments.. kind of 'playful' and with this truly 'outstanding' in the region.

It's a great place of serenity. Good if you want some peaceful religious time. And with west coast market nearby if you're hungry!

not convenient if you don't drive, unless you stay around that area. but the place is clean and peaceful. whole place is full of dragon sculptures, and you can activate some mechanics, like the bridge with the mist, you have to step on the yellow lever to activate the mist. also, the small dragon with the water pouring out, you have to kneel on the pad to activate it. they provide plastic bottles for you to bring the water back as well, it's written that it's drinkable but i suggest not to.
