ordered mee sotong . the soup just taste plain spicy an that it .. service is super slow and created a long long queue . please take note this is a new stall , don’t mixed up with the old stall that used to be here .

Still the same old pricy like the previous owner but not the same good standard. It's tasteless!!! Worst of all they refuse customer to use their own food container for take away just wanted to charge a few extra penny for their food box. So I had it there but they still using the same disposable food box for take away to serve without any extra charge LOL! Tasteless, crazy ridiculous and totally unacceptable!!!

The only thing in this menu is ok is ayam penyet; the rest are disappointment. I was fooled by the name of the stall "bagus", all those pictures of celebrity posted on the stall and thought this would be at least a decent stall of the predecessor tenant. I patronise twice; both times, I was disappointed.

Can never be better than the previous stall here. Sardine currypuff is 90% onions, dont believe can buy and see?. Worse standard ever. The rest of the food here not great. Avoid if possible

Big mistake replacing the 2 boys over this NOT bagus sio. The chai chee nasi is our loss in hougang ave 5. Always long queue for all their good food. This Bagus Sio food is terrible, hence no queue. Staff very rude. Yen Fei Lai coffeeshop, you made a huge mistake!

Ok I grew up in Hougang Ave 5 since 1983 and I understand everyone's sad that Chai Chee Nasi Lemak has moved to 105 Hougang Ave 1. But we should be objective and rate the stall for what they deserve. My first time trying this stall at 4pm on a sunny Thu. Ordered my Nasi Padang with Beef Rendang, Sambal Goreng, Brinjal and Bergedel for $7. The guy serving was nice and friendly. Here's the breakdown: Rice was warm and fluffy, beef rendang was tender with an amazing rempah, brinjal was cooked to perfection and bergedel was a little hard due to long hours exposure but still tasty. I didn't give full 5 stars cos coffeeshop $7 is a little pricey for the neighbourhood but so is their rental. That being said, I enjoyed the plate of goodness without any prejudice. Go try it for yourself.

Not bagus at all. Tried this mee siam because I was craving for it and my favourite muslim shop shifted to another location, and it was bad. The soup/gravy for the mee siam tasted like plain water. See the picture! The sauces were not properly mixed. The bee hoon was bland. If this is the standard I am expecting, I’m not visiting anymore.

Let me start with this info, this shop replaced an all time fav shop and boy this replacement is not up to par, in fact it's a major let down. Now, here's the deal, we were met with 2 staff who were not at all friendly. We ordered "1 Nasi Rawan and 1 Nasi Sambal Goreng makan" and waited in line. Seeing as others were served in a paper bowl etc, we assumed that all was served in paper / throwaway containers. Another staff came to the cash register to ring us up, looked at us and ask "you eating here"? We said yes and she turned to the other lady and said "they eating here lah" . In the same breath she then turned to us and said, not ask "Why never say you eat here" . I reply rather curtly, I did say makan and we are holding on to your metal cutlery right? She just smile and returned us $0.40 for the takeaway box lah I guess. Anyways, about the food, Bland and meh is the best way to describe it. In fact, it's sort of tasteless. Huge dissappoinent to a point of not knowing how to describe it even. 2 star only because she returned us the money. Other then that it was just not a place to head out and search for if you want authentic Malay set meals. Service : 2 / 5 Food : 1 / 5 Others : eerrrrr
