Beyond Physio | In-Home Physiotherapist - #17-04

My mum had knees surgery a few years back and since then, she has not been able to walk fast and far. Most recently when we brought her back to Singapore when the borders reopened, we noticed she was panting and looking really tired after walking barely 150 metres. I was searching online for a physio therapy centre near where I stayed and came upon Beyond Physio who offered in-home service. I made a call and was immediately attended to by Issac. We made arrangement for him to come by my home to assess my mum’s situation. He was very accommodating and came during the weekend where I wouid be home to observe and engage in discussion with him as he attended to my mum. During the assessment call, Issac came across as very affable and passionate. He was patiently asking my mum questions about her lifestyle and health. Basically my mum didn’t do much exercise as she was always feeling tired or that her lower back was giving her grief. I noticed that in between these conversations, he would ask my mum to show him how she walks or stretches her legs. He would also assess her balance when she stood up. He did it seamlessly without my mum realising that she was actually doing some form of exercises. He made conscious effort to walk behind my mum as she demonstrated how she walked and his hands were outstretched as if he is ever ready to catch her in case she loses her balance. The way he shows care for the elderly is very commendable. He listens attentively and guides her as he taught her simple stretching exercises. He makes extra effort to explain to both my mum and myself on how she can slowly regain her leg muscles through these simple exercises while at the same time work on her cardiovascular. I am grateful to have come across his services and would recommend him especially for house-bound patients or elderly care.
