Desmond Pasta - 3024 Ubi Rd 3

The chicken chop was really tender and well marinated, really like how it complemented with the potato salad. Chose the pasta at a top up instead of the greens hah.

Owner's passion and attention to detail really shows in the dishes he puts out. Ordered the (off menu) carbonara with chicken chop @$10.50. Not traditional carbonara per se but it's more of a local cream based one. Still, it more than secured a spot as one of the best pasta dishes I've had in Singapore. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and had a good amount of bacon, pepper and herbs running through it. Felt kind of weird when I saw that there were blistered cherry tomato halves in the dish but the acidity and freshness helped to cut through the carbonara sauce. Pasta was finished with a quails egg and freshly grated Parmesan cheese right before serving. Chicken chop was exceptional too. Most western stalls serve their chop with a barely grilled skin side that turns soggy once it touches the sauce. The one I had was crispy and the sauce also had a more pronounced taste to it. The owner also kindly drizzled the sauce around the skin of the chicken chop. Picture really doesn't do justice to the quality of what I had. Will definitely hop by again if I'm in the Ubi area.

Came here on a weekday afternoon 3pm, coffee shop was close to empty. Ordered 2 pasta from Desmond pasta, food was served relatively fast. I would recommend you to try this pasta if you are nearby, it’s definitely better than most coffee shop pasta stall. Price is very reasonable too. Each pasta cost approximately $6.80.

Rating is only for the dish I ordered Chicken Aglio Olio. Have not tried the other dishes but the chicken chop ordered by others looks good. First the dish is nothing like what Aglio Olio should be. It's wet instead of being tossed in olive oil. It's also very salty. The chicken was also dry and I left most of it uneaten.

Good range of pasta dishes and some western fares from this stall. The spaghetti was doused in rich creamy carbonara with small bacon slices, a semi cooked quail's egg, and vegetable cuts. Overall yummy!

Marinara pork sausage pasta. Great value & quality! Chef was generous with the ingredients, pasta was cooked just right (despite it being a takeaway, only consumed ~30mins later). Sauce coated all of pasta, loved the well-balanced flavors, esp. the subtle black pepper, garlic, tomato zest, etc. Only managed to snap shot when almost done.. Definitely great value for money & yummy!

Ordered the Rossi Pasta that was very generous with the ingredients! Portion of pasta was a bit small. Chicken chop with mash potatoes and vegetables was a bit under whelming… sauce was good chicken was very thin. Pasta is definitely worth a try!

Been here a few times since the circuit breaker. Am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes by Chef Desmond. His pork chop with rice was my favourite rendition of this dish so far with thick tender chops drenched on savoury sauce. His pastas are al dente and big on flavours. His use of spices and herbs bring out the flavours of each dish distinctly. The photo is the off menu item of mushroom truffle pasta with chicken chop $10.50. Crispy skin, tender juicy meat with hints of herbs. The portions are generous and will leave u with a satisfied full belly!
