One of the few honest durian sellers in Singapore. Price is extremely reasonable and they respond quickly to my requests. MSW was authentic and super shiok!

DLK is built upon simple honesty and integrity. No durian here is cracked opened without a buyer, they truly are indeed, BTO Durians. Boxed-to-order. Not every durian is perfect and there’s always going to be a few bad seeds, however, because of DLK’s stringent QC process, those bad seeds never make their way to you. Let’s face it, MSW durians come from pretty much the same place and areas in Malaysia, however, what makes me want to buy from DLK is their business ethics. Over the years there’s been a number of bad experiences shared in the community that gives durian sellers a similar reputation to those bad eggs selling computer parts at a place in Bugis. Although DLK is a fairly young challenger to the durian scene in Singapore, unlike the incumbent kings like Combat and etc. buying from DLK is a refreshing and tasteful experience, probably as tasteful as the Black Gold Musang King they offer. It takes about 20-30 seconds from shell to vacuum seal, ensuring maximum freshness and 100% quality yield, if you know business operations, you can’t get that kind of yield anywhere.

The person who attended to me was friendly and great. I ordered the durian choux puff and as much as I would like to love it, I think it was not to my liking. If I am not wrong, it feels like the fillings were a combination of whipped cream and durian cream. People who love the strong durian flavor would like it but I would have preferred if they used custard and durian cream combination. Would be great if the cream puff was bigger but I understand that it would cost more. Maybe it would be better to use slightly less concentrated durian cream with the custard and make it slightly bigger. The one I had today had a size of about 6.5cm to 7cm in diameter. I think 8.5cm to 9cm would be my ideal size. Would not mind paying slightly more if it was mixed with custard cream. Overall a great shop with honest people. I am sure some people would love the strong durian taste. May try the durians next time.
