Went to see doctor Lim 3 weeks ago on a last minute appointment. Called the clinic at 1:40pm to see if Dr. Lim can fit me in at the Farrer Park clinic. The lady who picked up the phone told me that she can slot me in at 2pm. I told her I’m not sure if I can make it by 2pm caused I was in Hougang and she said is very near and try your best. I managed to get to the clinic at 2:07pm. Only after a 15 mins wait, I was called in for the consultation. After the consultation and treatment, went to the front desk counter to get my bill. I was charged an extra of $100 for being late. I question the lady at the front desk why am I being charged for being late and all she did was to asked me to see the billing charges posted in front of the desk. I won’t mind paying for it if this is their policy, but she did not even tell me over the phone when I called that there will be a charge if I’m late. She jolly knows that within 20 mins I might not be able to make it, and she didn’t even tell me there’s a late charge! This is so not acceptable. Anyway I know that most clinic will charge if there’s a no show but never heard that there will be a late charge. I know maybe some of your patients don’t check the bill but don’t scam your patients this way. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with Dr. Lim service and grateful that he can fit me in last minute, but just didn’t agree to the front desk way of doing things.
