★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You'll find Japanese inspired food here. What I mean by this is that the food isn't all that good, but looks Japanese enough that if you're hungry, it doesn't matter.
Their Chirashi Don is just fish on rice, not that fresh, but not stale. Onsen egg was not bad. Price is a little on the high side for the quality you get. Then again, I'll probably never step in here again, so that doesn't matter to me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be happy, not hungry..thats the motto from hokey poki. We eat at PLQ B2-26..okay now we review the foods.i ordered salmon poke don, garlic fried rice, aburi salmon mentai maki. All on my pictures, the salmon is fully cooked as per my request ya. Overall taste is very good and healthy since they using mix white rice + black rice or fully black rice for their sushi..Garlic rice is on the nice level,i mean not too much garlic..I suggest after u got salary, u come to this place,cause the price in here is consider expensive for 2 person(including drink) is 44.4 SGD..i recommended this place ya

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the chilli crab burger, salmon poke bowl and sashimi platter. Food came pretty fast on a busy Fri evening. Good sized portions and sashimi was pretty good value for such a big plate. Chilli crab sauce was great as well! Service wasn’t the best but just treat it like it’s a casual eatery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ingredients are always fresh and tasty. They’re on the healthier side of the food spectrum so some of you who enjoy your white rice/regular noodles won’t be satisfied here. If you’re fine with purple rice and lots of greens then it’s a perfect spot.
I’ve been occasionally eating here since their days at Sultan Gate (FOMO). Glad to report that their food tastes the same still(which is good).
Ordering is easy and can be done though a QR code and app. You can also order via a menu and go to the cashier and order and pay (before your meal).
Price is on the premium side (reasonably so because of their fresh produce). There is a 10% service charge.
Would I come back again? Of course. As long as their standards are maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a Salmon Poke Don, Salmon Mentai Poki Don, Sambal Gyu Udon, Garlic Fried Rice and Korean Pancake.
Surprisingly, the foods are good and tasty.
The poke don are using healthy purple grain rice, nice.
Garlic fried rice is super. Garlicky and good!
Sambal gyu udon is average but the idea of this fusion is interesting.
Overall, good food and recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in PLQ mall near Paya Lebar MRT station (East West Line). Hokey Poki is a cosy place to have an affordable and quick Japanese style meal.
Having been there for the first time, we were welcomed by an enthusiastic staff.
I ordered a Gyu Niku salad and Bara Chirashi Don.
Albeit on the saltier side, a generous portion of the Gyu Niku salad was served. The ingredients such as the mushroom, were premium especially for the price that we paid.
The Bara Chirashi Don was topped with some chopped up sashimi, avocado and sprinkled with some roe, sesame and seaweed bits. The purple or black rice at the bottom was fragrant and palatable. Both the toppings and rice proved to be a great match. However, it would have been better if the amount of toppings like the sashimi, matched the amount of rice.
Will come back for a casual meal again if I am at PLQ!
