On February 11th, 2022, I had the pleasure of having friends over for a dinner and a mini chakai after. I ordered the Winter Edition Omakase set for my guests to serve with usucha (thin tea), and one guest requested koicha (thick tea). The nerikiri came well-packaged, and gave such a positive impression at the start. Each sweet had a different filling: azuki, matcha, sakura, and yuzu. I had the traditional azuki, and loved it. I enjoyed that Ms Dionne Ho, the sole proprietor, made them with less sugar so I could enjoy the taste and texture of the filling. She definitely has refined her craft to the point that each sweet was well and properly executed. Further, she had included a couple of traditional winter motifs in her omakase edition: yuki-usagi (snow rabbit), tsubaki (camellia), and yukibana (snowflake). There were little to no flaws in the experience. For two of my guests, this was their first time having traditional nerikiri, so they had the sweets with thin tea, which I believe complemented the delicate flavors very well. Both said that these were a great first introduction to wagashi, and look forward to more. The other, more experienced friend requested for thick tea, and despite the bitterness, she thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend this to anyone who is missing an authentic Japanese tasting experience. I look forward to ordering again, and I look forward to more of Ms Dionne's experiments. Thank you to Love For Wagashi for helping me to create such fond memories for me and my friends.

In February 22, for stopping by to visit friends, I did a dinner and a small tea ceremony. Even though Singapore has almost no Japanese sweets, I was able to order from Love for Wagashi. It was delicious! It wasn't that sweet and I liked the taste of azuki beans. And, and how to make finely, I thought it was beautiful. This time, there is a first time sweets of experience is two people, made a good memories. In today's world, I do not go yet in Japan, well you thought Do not - and I miss in Japan. But, thanks to Mr. Dionne of the chef, somehow we got the batter cut close to the genuine in Singapore. Also, I'm looking forward if there is an opportunity ☆.
