Do not recommend at all! Made my kitten a lot worse + after consulting with another vet, I have to conclude they really don’t know what they are doing. Hospitalised my 3 month old kitten here for a case of ringworm. It was relatively mild at first, with scabby fur at the back of one ear. they advised me to not visit her for a while as she had passed it to me. 1.5 weeks later after mine cleared up, I come to see her and both her ears are COMPLETELY BALD with a few COMPLETELY BALD patches on her nose. She also had black spots around her ears and face. I first asked the nurses about it and one said ‘isn’t it common for kittens to have hairless ears?’, another said ‘her character is that she likes to rub her ears on her cage.’ I went for a consultation with the vet Dr Vanessa who first said my cat ‘has always had a fungal issue, which we’ve been giving her oral anti fungal for everyday and it’s clearing up. We did a microscope test for fur mites and it’s totally free of mites’. I said ‘okay, but how can it be getting better when the hair is all gone? One week ago she had hair on her ears’ Vet said ‘she has a skin condition that’s taking a while to fix. But I don’t see her scratching at all.’ I said what exactly is this skin condition? She said ‘when you found her (I adopted this kitten from the streets) she had a fungal infection and it’s taking a while to clear up’ I said ‘yes but you said she’s finished her last dose of anti fungal already, why is it clearly getting worse??’ She then said that ‘everyone’s skin has fungus’ and if anyone has issues with a cat having a bit of hair loss, they must be very shallow (I cannot believe a vet said that to me!) I then asked about the spots around her ears and face and she said oh her ears have mites when she scratches them it comes out. That’s when I gave up as earlier she said my cat is free of mites + she does not see my cat scratching. She was just dodging my questions this whole conversation and does not actually have clear and accurate answers I brought my cat to another vet ASAP. They looked through all the records sent over by family vet and discovered they never actually tested her for ringworm. Plus at my kittens young age, they said that the vet should be giving liver supplements together with oral anti fungal as it is too strong for kittens and will destroy their still-developing livers (a common thread I see in other reviews is family vet spoiling pets livers with powerful medicine). the new vet also took a culture for the ringworm (positive) and tested her ears for the black spots, which tested positive for a bacterial infection, NOT ear mites. Now they have been giving her only topical anti fungal treatments and ear treatment for a few weeks. Her hair is slowly but surely growing back and her ears are clean. I am so relieved but this was an ordeal my cat and I shouldn't have had to go through in the first place that was exacerbated by my family vet and whatever they did to her during the 1.5 weeks I did not visit. The bill from family vet was also astronomical which I felt was unjustifiable considering they made my cat a lot worse. Overall, I would say, save your time and money and choose another vet which will actually save instead of harm your pet, even if the location might be slightly more inconvenient. I really regret dealing with them at all

Dr Vanessa is very professional vet, she perform a emergency surgery for Cody. She is a kind and caring vet, she create a group chat to check on Cody after discharge. We sincerely appreciated her service .

Brought my adopted cat for spaying and checkup. Doctor did a great job providing details on the current health of my cat and with the procedure. Overall the process was good but one thing to take note of will be the long queue.

Located at the heartlands of Bukit Batok and it's at the first level of a HDB block. The only attending doctor is Dr Vanessa and she is very professional yet caring towards all pets. She is really dedicated with giving the best treatment towards your pet. These do come at a price and her treatments, lab tests and supplements are not cheap but if you care about your pets, you will feel it's worth it. Dr Vanessa only prescribes the necessary to nurse your beloved pets to good health. Do make an appointment before walking in to avoid the long wait as there will definitely be a queue.

Thank you to Dr Vanessa & the team at My Family Vet, for being such an amazing care team for Pomo! In my experience visiting several vets for the care of my pets over the years, Dr Vanessa stands out as a vet that truly has the heart for all my pets. You will be assured that your pet isn't just another patient that they clock-in, the team there would see your pet as a loved one - and puts in all effort to make them feel comfortable and safe throughout their vet visit. Patient-centricity ? While overall, yes, the wait time can be daunting, but this is just the same as our visits to the polyclinics and A&Es, all patients have the right to be cared for, and some patient-care takes time. From a healthcare perspective, you can't turn away a patient just because you're busy. The team does let you know that it'll take awhile, it is our choice - as pet owners, to determine whether we would like to wait for the vet, or to simply proceed elsewhere. Kudos to My Family Vet!

2nd visit to this vet clinic today. After reading so many 1 star reviews. I am ascertain to say that this clinic business model is by exploiting pet owners anxiety, fears and overly concerns of their pets. The diagnosis level by this vet is very shallow. Prescribing 6 types of medicine (see photos) for my puppy for a diarrhoea and vomit. I am wondering how a 5 mths old puppy could take such heavy medicine. A total bill of 400 +++ with so many other "add ons" (that's after rejecting several blood test and other kidney tests non relating to diarrhoea) Having checking with my fellow pet owner friends. They only spend around 140+++ at other clinics for the same diagnosis @Hillford Vets For Life. I would definitely switch over to Hillford for the next sterlisation appointment.

We have visited My Family Vet twice so far for my pet chicken. We can tell that Dr Vanessa and her team are dedicated and passionate and are grateful to them for helping nurse our pet back to health both times. Yes the queue can be long and be prepared to spend some time there. Both times we witnessed the team working hard past their opening hours to ensure that all pets in queue are seen, treated, and to make sure us pet parents have a peace of mind. We trust Dr Vanessa and her team and will go back to her again should we need help with our birds.

A great veterinary clinic to get your pet checked if you don't mind waiting for a while. Receptionist was also extremely helpful and cheerful despite handling a really crowded clinic all by herself. Overheard her conversations with other clients as well and can tell that she really cares for clients' pets as though its her own which is rare to find from a normal staff. Could tell that she was very knowledgeable in what she does and offers heartfelt advice to clients which is rare. Very professional and caring, truly lived up to the name of a family vet clinic. Just make sure you bring something to keep yourself entertained during the waiting times.
