★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Experience was disappointing.
We were so hungry and decided to try them out since it was supposedly "best pho in the East".
The soup was not hot enough, so it couldn't soften the beansprouts at all. I had to remove all the beansprouts halfway as it tasted so horrendous.
I don't think they used good cuts of meat cuz the beef were SO TOUGH.
The Vietnamese spring roll tasted weird somehow, the veg inside is pretty hard (not crunchy at all). The meat had a gamey taste.
What I didn't like, were also the servers. They were not attentive and were simply sitting down by the side, on guest table. I would expected some restaurant standard but our food was mostly served by the robot.
Wasted our money and tummy space. Will never return again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paper Rice’s food is always enjoyable. I came and ordered their Bahn Mi which is served with fresh vegetables. The unique combination of Asian and European spices creates a delightful taste in my mouth. Will come back for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ordered an earl grey milk tea and Vietnam drip coffee
the drip coffee is very subjective. but to me it doesn’t taste sweet and milky enough. it is more towards the bitter edge . it is not hot enough. portion is acceptable.
the earl grey milk tea got so little taste of earl grey . instead it taste more of lemon grass. i would say it doesn’t taste the usual one u find in many bubble tea shop.
the good thing is the staff is attentive to our feedback ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1) We are attracted by the poster showing outside the restaurant, but find out the actual menu choices are limited and the food shown portrayed via poster were not available when we sat down.
2) We ordered beef noodle soup and Vietnamese prawn rolls.
The beef slices are rough. The taste of Sprouts and rice crackers are raw and unable to chew. The prawn rolls have no taste even with the sauce provided
3) The only attractive point was the robot serving food to customers
Wouldn't revisit and nt worth the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had Spicy Vegetarian Pho before going to see a film. Look what I found in my soup!! The chef came and picked up the fly with his fingers and told me it was lemongrass ☹️. When I and my husband asked him if he saw it’d got wings, he said it might have flown into the soup when I was eating because he would have seen a fly when he cooked the soup. Honestly it was more his attitude than eating a fly in soup made me angry. If he just came and apologized like the waitress did, I would have shrugged it off and forgot about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of punchy flavors, sauces and spices. Every dish we ordered was absolutely seasoned to perfection and cooked just right. My family loved it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Contrary to many reviews about how it falls below the expectations as compared to the previous shop, my partner and I have differing opinions about Paper Rice at Plaza Singapura (North East and North South Line).
We ordered the Prawn Summer Rolls, Rice Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Signature Pho with Beef Slices.
We felt that, the dishes generally hold true to the nature of Vietnamese dishes, that is the use of little oil. Something that many shops in Singapore fail to live up to. However, as we were tasting the dishes, we felt that there can be more herbs like the lemongrass and coriander and mint to complete the full Vietnamese experience.
Our favourite dish is the Rice Vermicelli with Grilled Pork. The sauce had a good balance of taste. The vermicelli was also moist, did not stick together and did not harbour the taste of raw flour like most places do.
As for the Pho, they were generous with the beef slices but we felt that the beef isn’t as fragrant as it would be and the soup was not as beefy as we would like it.
We also ordered fruit juices of which was really pure. Could taste the fibres in the Pomelo juice and the Guava fibres too. Worth the money.
It was fascinating to see the robot food server too. The staff, can be seen to be trying their best even though they might not be meeting common expectations. They probably just need more time. Will give it a go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I must say I didn’t get a bad experience in this resto. I thought the food and the service was ‘above average’ though not spectacular. The robot, was the highlight of the resto, but I thought the food was decent. I am a big fan of the dry noodles and theirs were pretty good. I loved the spring rolls and drinks. the soup which we can order on top of the noodles as extra, was good as well. I enjoyed it and will come again.
