A bunch of feminist staff. They'd laugh and joke with you during interviews but don't fall for that. They'd be 'curious' to know more about your previous organisational experiences and will see if you're using that opportunity to talk ill of your ex-colleagues even though you may be honest. That's a catch! Also a fat lady who does symposiums and talks is so 'talented' that by the look of one's CV within 2 minutes, she knows whether he/she is 'lost' in life and has no idea what he/she wants! Wow, I was horrified. I even shudder to think if clients are assessed in the same manner or are they given the 'don't judge clients' approach? So judgmental when it came to me. She could have asked an open-ended question so this lady can understand the candidate's goals, plans and challenges rather than make condescending remarks. The receptionist seems to be impatient. I'm even surprised that she thinks a candidate would trust her with his/her files (containing certificates) so she'd take whatever certificates she needs. Erm, ok.. isn't that a violation of one's privacy? What if one of the certificates goes missing accidentally, would she and/or the organization hold responsibility or would they push the blame to the candidate for being so 'trusting'? Quite weird people, IMHO. A female labels clients as 'schizoids, 'schizo', etc. when she certainly knows you've to treat clients with utmost care, and all these labels do not make the individual himself/herself. What has happened to externalisation technique? What if the client were to hear this? The irony is this lady teaches or used to teach NUS. Absolutely horrified and suddenly had these bad vibes. While I got the job and the pay was quite low considering that it's not just a 5-day work week but you may have to work weeknights (when required), have to attend meetings during weekends (when required), be involved in road shows, etc. For all that, only a miserable off-in-lieu is given. Also they like to boast about how they're the FIRST organization in Singapore that specialised in FV and how they've provided training to practitioners. With all the bragging, FV cases are still on the rise! While it definitely is an organization that you can learn a lot from, but I didn't feel comfortable with the colleagues. Sometimes, it's not the clients who'd be problematic. It could be your colleagues. No regrets I declined the offer.
