I forgot to take a photo of the place but what other people has posted it’s true. The vibe is great even the boss, the boss is very kind and friendly. Three things special about this place is 1. There are 36 different flavours to choice but you only 12 to choice and it’s easy to make up your mind on the flavours. 2. It’s affordable and their waffles it’s the bomb. 3. It opens till 6am!! I don’t have to travel up to Upper Thomson for their ice-cream anymore. WEST SIDERS! Do come and support this outlet.

Both ice cream and waffles are plated and decorated nicely, even dabao also the waffle still very crispy and together with ice cream was perfect. The boss was also super friendly and accomodating, definitely will bring my gf and friends over the next time, where to find a dessert shop open till 6am? only at SYT cafe swee la =D

Recommended. Sweet Young Thing, with delicious and affordable desert cafe right beside Jurong East MRT. It's been a long time I've enjoyed a good waffles ice-cream with many beautiful toppings at this affordable price. Lots more ice-cream flavors are available too. Just something for the owner to consider is that the menu could have some small bites. Chicken wings, baked rice/pasta, cheese fries, nuggets etc...

Would definitely come back again for the other ice cream flavours. We had ho ji cha, pistachio, hazelnut rocher and biscotti. The 4 ice cream flavours were balanced in flavour and milkiness (that does not leave you very jelak after eating). The staff says that 70% of the flavours use original ingredients, to which I agree cos the flavours were rich. Really loved that they offered each table a bottle of self served maple syrup. That's NOT cheap, even if bought in bulk. If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing cafe, this isn't one of it. There's still a lot of things to improve e.g. there were no table numbers, when the staff asked us what table number we sat at. A few suggestions we have: 1. Increase the temperature by 1 or 2 degrees C, cos all of us eat ice cream and we're left very cold after eating. Also can help yall save bills. This one need to test, maybe we're just cold blooded. 1.5. I think we'd stay longer and order more things if there's some finger food (maybe just have 3 focal things on the menu e.g. fries, nuggets and chicken wings). Don't have to be a lot, just do what you have on the menu well. 2. Have a lock on your ice cream machine. Kids managed to push it and it's a safety concern. Maybe change the layout to have the 2 machines side by side, and entry to the kitchen in the middle. 3. Have more deco, but I think this will take some time to make the ambience more tasteful. It's ok, don't put deco for the sake of decorating. However, I noticed that the paint job near the ceilings weren't done cleanly. Was it on purpose or not, I'm not sure. 4. Have a jukebox (2 cheap ones, to put on opposite ends) to play some background music. Not too loud, but just set the mood. We hope that this café will remain reopen. It's location is not the absolute best, but luckily there's surrounding restaurants to bring awareness to this cafe. The fact that the cafe long hours is a plus, but I hope it's sustainable for yall too. Maybe make it a fully evening to next morning, so you can focus on this? There are not many ice cream café that open till the next morning.

Fluffy waffles goes well with ice cream and recommendations flavour to mix with self chosen flavour from the boss is awesome pairing too especially when there are too many choices to choose from...

The Sea Salt Caramel has a really nice and had a subtle nutty taste. it was lovely and not overwhelmingly sweet at all. The Belgium Chocolate was smooth and rich, really really nice and super worth, because the scoop is rly big. The owner is really nice and friendly, and the place opens from 6pm - 6am, a great place if you're craving something sweet at night!!

Taste: There was a small selection of flavours available - classic ones like Golden Vanilla and Belgian Chocolate, to the hipster ones like Thai Milk Tea and MSW Durian. The owner (I assume) explained that the flavours regularly rotate around, which would mean that the flavours available now may be different during your next visit. We decided to try their waffles (which was recommended) together with five scoops of ice cream - Resse's Peanut Butter, Thai Milk Tea, Belgian Chocolate, Pistachio and Lychee Lime. Our group pretty much agreed that all of the flavours chosen were pretty good, with the Belgian Chocolate and Thai Milk Tea being the standouts for its strong chocolate and tea taste respectively. The waffles were great as well - it was sufficiently thick to give a nice chew when paired with the waffles. My only (minor) complaint was that the ice cream was given with chocolate sprinkles, which I would prefer not to have with the ice cream. Each table was also provided with its own jug of maple syrup, which you may choose to drizzle over your waffles. Overall, our group unanimously agreed that we would visit there again, and you should as well, since it's a little (tiny bit) out of the way and we're worried that there is not enough foot traffic in that area. Service: We chanced upon this little ice cream shop after our dinner at Vision Exchange, which was pretty much the only dessert option in the building. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and he explained that the opening hours of the shop was to cater to the lack of supper options in the West (100% totally agree). He also gave us a short run through of the menu, including the drinks and finger food on offer. The food took quite some time to arrive, presumably due to the waffles being freshly made. I also appreciated the fact that the single scoops of ice cream were given in chilled glasses, which was similar to how beer is served in chilled glasses at bars. It does help with making sure that your ice cream doesn't melt as fast! There are also tissues on the table if you need. Price: This place charges neither GST and service charge. This amounts to about $28 for a weekday night dessert for a full waffle and five scoops of (mostly premium and up) ice cream. The ice cream is priced in four different tiers - standard, premium, super premium and ultimate. You may choose the add up to three scoops of ice cream with the waffles, which is charged at a slightly lower price than single scoops. I would say that this place provides pretty good value for money overall, considering that the ice cream was really good. The bill was paid via PayNow through GrabPay, and there are also options to pay by PayNow directly as well. Ease of eating with utensils: The shop kindly provided us with forks and knives for the waffles, and teaspoons for the single scoops of ice cream. The prongs of the fork are sufficiently long, such that you would be able to get a scoop of ice cream and still comfortably stab a piece of waffle to go with it. There was no need to balance the waffle and ice cream on the flat side of the fork. Additional brownie points for not using disposable utensils for the single scoop ice cream! (Visited on April 2022)

I had come here a few weeks ago with my friends and honestly never regretted it. The cafe itself is super cute. The waffles were really fluffy and not too sweet. Asked the owner for his favourite ice cream flavours and got them, they were really good too. The owner is really friendly and honest with his suggestions. The service, ambience and food was top notch. Have been craving these waffles for awhile now so will definitely be dropping a visit soon!
