Loved the tempura! Only a handful of times, I've tasted good fried food without the horrid oil smell and perfectly cooked to crisp. This place is definitely on that list, beautifully crisp with no oil smell/taste. Loved the sushi circles, green tea soba, nice and filling ensemble of food. Apart from the food, please work on the service and do let the customer know in advance if the order is gonna take longer than 25mins to arrive.

Visited many times, still one of the best place to have tempura at reasonable price.

I had to say that this Tendon Kohaku branch in Chinatown Point is a bit disappointing compared their other two branches in Clarke Quay and CBD. Their tempura is a bit too hard, not sure whether this is from reheating or overcooking but definitely not tasty. Food material is still okay. Won’t come again - I’d rather go their other two branches nearby!

I wanted to say thanks to the waitress who was managing the lunch crowd all alone. (Forgot to ask her for name!) She was professional and competent, even tho she was managing the front of the house alone. Of course things were just a tad slow tho perfectly understandable. We chatted for awhile when we were paying and yes, I empathise fully with your stress of working lunch shifts alone. Tho you are doing great. Jia you!

Specially travelled to eat Tendon Kohaku on a friend’s recommendation and there is no regrets. Well worth the price and portion is filling as well. Tendon comes with a miso soup as well as Chawanmushi. Will absolutely go there to dine again. Recommended for any tendon lovers.

Was craving for it the day we checked in to the hotel. I have to say, this is a very successful example of an unsuccessful franchise expansion. You don't simply buy the rights to the logo, you need to make sure your chef are able to copycat and produce the same product following the recipe. The staff needs to be trained too. It was noted they are often chatting in my eyes and so loud that we couldn't continue our conversation. And it took almost 10 minutes for one of the staff to realised I requested something from her while she's still deeply engaged in her conversation with her colleague after acknowledging my request.

Prepare for disappointments. The outlet at Clarke quay was good, then the standard dropped. Here was the same as well. Only the tempura batter remains good. Staff was rude, we are mostly ignored, requests were met with curt answers. Pickled sides were a sad serving, soup was somewhat tasty but barely half a bowl. Rice in the tendon was not packed in and there wasn't much sauce poured in. Recommend looking elsewhere. Read the reviews by others too if you wish to eat here.

i thought the food was good, but definitely stepping on the expensive end of things. however it’s chinatown point and almost all the restaurants run at this price range. chawanmushi was served hot, soft and well seasoned, tasted amazing. the tempura batter is also great, but tempura came some parts soggy and some parts crispy. green tea looked very suspiciously green for japanese green tea. at $3 a cup i don’t think it was worth it. miso soup also tasted like store bought type. overall an okay experience but i don’t think i would be returning.
