I like their tapioca cake and green bean cake, both are very flavourful. The tapioca cake is especially good if it is just prepared, warm, soft, slightly chewy, the batter lightly crunchy. They prepare a set amount for display and purchase, and just top up whichever is needed, so most of the time, it will be warm. There are quite some options available so there is something for everyone if you are into batter fried snacks. Went down a few times in August but was closed, sign said bananas supply problem and a later sign indicated reopen in September tho no dates specified. Will be going down today to take a look if they have reopened. Edit: to be reopened on 19 of Sep, according to sign at stall.

One of the best Bananas fried fritters in S’pore. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. Most importantly, bananas are not over ripe.

Not sure why it’s only open at 1pm? Lunchtime people already started lunch at 12pm. There is one saying, early birds gets to catch the worms ? Goreng Pisang is nice but you got to follow the crowds since covid is almost over? Please improve your timing lei.

My favorite goreng Pisang stall, tucked away at the corner of block 177 Toa Payoh Central coffee shop. Most of the item here cost $1.2 each. Must try item are Goreng Pisang, cempedak and green bean. The Pisang is fried well, very crispy outside and banana is not overly ripe inside so it is soft and sweet. The best item has to be the cempedak, the flavor is intense when you take your first bite, fresh has slight chewiness and yet soft. Green bean is crispy outside and moist inside. Whenever pass by this coffee surely cannot resist to grab a bit from TP lucky pisang raja.

The food is nice but do check your payment before leaving especially if you buy a number of items. I bought 23 pieces at $1.40 each but was charged $35 instead of $32.20. Could only count after I got home.

This store has been around for like 30 years since I was a small kid back in the 1980s. Prices have still been economical over the years, but it’s still occupying the same spot all these while. Been a regular here and my favourite is the fried goreng pisang and fried green bean. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.

Wow. You must try this. The banana is so soft and sweet with a nice yellow color. The size of it is also decently big. There are 2 bananas in 1 fritter. It’s located inside a small coffee shop. There are Thai food stall, fish hot pot, …
