One of the better egg tarts around. There’s always a queue so that keeps the ingredients fresh and tarts freshly served. There are also several traditional stores around to try but I think Tong Heng serves up a good balanced tart with its sweetness and lightness.

Famous eggtarts in Chinatown! It’s $2.20 per piece. You will be given a box if you order 6/8 pieces. Yummy!

When I google for the best eggs tarts in Singapore… this came up in many sites. So naturally I gravitate towards it. And it didn’t disappoint. Along with the barbecue pork pastry and the red bean pastry. They were awesome, nice fluffy crust and the light sweetness to match. Except the old wife’s pastry which I though I couldn’t quite taste anything except the crust. I would leave that out although it was their recommendation when I was deciding to pack a 6th into the box. The lady taking the order outside the shop was however very very friendly and polite and it was pleasure to buy from them. Will definitely go back again for the egg tarts and the barbecue pork pastry. ?????????

I can’t even put into words how much I loved this place. I was in Singapore for a week and came here 4 times. The egg tart is so warm and delicious. I also tried the bbq pork pasty which was good.

Traditional pastry house trying to modernise its brand. The all-time favourites such as egg tarts and wife's biscuits are still decent, but the newer products such as the cake pastries (see photos) at $3.40 each, are a let-down.

Beautiful pastries and love the variety. We got a salted egg yolk red bean pastry and black sesame cake at 7pm on a Sunday. It might have been a bit stale from sitting out so it tasted dry and flaky, but I think there was potential

Still one of my places to go for egg tarts. Was around the area didn't come across my mind until I saw someone carrying a plastic bag with their pastries. I went and of course the 1st thing in my mind to buy was the egg tarts and the wife biscuit. Decided to buy the green bean pastry as well and it was definitely worth the calories. Ordered this pastry which looks a bit like a cupcake. There were several flavours and I chose the red bean but was given the red date. Not that I really like red date but upon eating it it didn't taste as bad as I thought. I always recommend this place to people whenever they talk about egg tarts and also my overseas friends to buy and try their pastries.

Must try their walnut cookie!!! Egg tart is their usual star and reason why we keep coming back. Recently, we discovered that their walnut cookie is amazingly good. Crisp and very fluffy texture. Bought for friends and they are loving it too. 2 versions you can get, all the same taste wise - in a gift tin or individually wrapped. Walnut cookies in tin are vacuum packed (~4 months shelf life) and contains 6pcs. They are slightly smaller in size to fit the tin, whereas the individually walnut cookie are sealed and can last 5-7days.
