Yishun ActiveSG Gym - 101 Yishun Ave 1

A little difficult to get through the registration process (need a Singapore phone number) but it is a nice little gym, with friendly staff. ***Be sure to bring your own towel*** or buy one for S$2.50 from the vending machine outside.

Nice environment, big space, decent shower rooms, lots of parking as well. It lacks a couple of standard weight machines though, particularly for leg raises, lat pull, triceps. Probably needs a couple more benches too.

Ambient is Ok, not crowded. Not much machines compare to private gym

Good place for sports. Nice wide area for exercising. Stadium size running track badminton courts and a gym. Early morning runs ate best.

Used to visit this gym due to its proximity from my place. However, there are few 'regular gym users' who were arrogant and think that the entire gym revolves around their worlds! obnoxious idiots. They may have built their bodies but NOT their brains! They weight-hog! So greedy! When other users want to use those weights, they'd say they are using. When you want to share the weights, they look at you as if you're stealing their wives! Sometimes I wonder if these cowards would dare to show their attitudes to Mike Tyson or Stone Cold. These users would pee in their pants! Useless talking to Yishun ActiveSG staff as they are 'friends'. There's a Malay gym trainer/staff with crewcut who likes to pick on new gym users and tries to show his authority to them but jokes and closes one eye with whatever his other regular gym users! This guy has double standards. The equipment is rusty. Terrible. Users lack EQ and are selfish and inconsiderate. These inconsiderate people do not wipe their benches when they've finished using them. The staff don't bother to tell them anything because they're 'friends'. These regular gym idiots don't put the free weights to where they belong. They leave them on the floor irresponsibly, probably hoping for someone to get injured badly. Staff seem to be high on drugs (maybe?) as they are oblivious to their surroundings. Their branch manager, Rachel Lim, is useless. Arrogant lady. Hopeless woman. Doesn't bother to get back to customer feedback promptly. Conveniently ignores the complaints. What a coward. When I got the opportunity to talk to her, she was talking rudely to me I put her in her place, and then she started to talk well. Hypocrite. Pathetic customer service standards and lousy management. Hope Yishun Active SG closes down soon with these kind of rotten apples around. I've been going elsewhere where people are respected, and I don't have to meet weird people like those in Yishun gym!

Average gym but nice and spacious. There's a side corner to stretch and do some functional training if needed

Well equipped and well maintained gym. Friendly staff. Convenient location and nearby to the stadium.
