β β β β β Have always found its name and rustic decor quite a draw for me and finally decided to pop in for dinner.
Enquired if the Chicken Cream pasta comes with chicken chunks or chicken chop and was told it's chicken chop, so I ordered. $16.90 for pasta with chicken chop sounded like a deal and was exactly what I was craving. Also ordered an iced milo for my beverage.
10 minutes in to waiting, I was told that they ran out of cream sauce and asked if I am ok with Chicken Bolognese - not what I wanted but I was hungry, so I settled for it.
Took another 5minutes for my iced milo to come, and boy was it underwhelming, way too sweet and too diluted - more like sugar water than milo.
Waited another 15minutes before the bolognese came and boy was it disappointing. No chicken chop in sight, only a few morsels of popcorn chicken tossed in a bland tomato based pasta. You can't seriously be calling that bolognese. Save for what I assume is truffle infused oil in there, the pasta is otherwise tasteless. Given that there isn't much crowd (save for a rowdy bunch that is making a lot of noise), I seriously cannot comprehend what is taking the kitchen so long to prepare that sad plate of pasta.
Also, the spoon was covered in dust at the first table I was sitting at.
TL;DR Bolognese and Iced Milo are a hard pass, utensils are covered in dust at the table I was sitting at, service is slow, bad experience due to rowdy customers though music selection is great as I love alt rock.

β β β β β Trying out the newly open western restaurant located 510 Macpherson Road.
This place served Lok Lok and western food at an affordable price.
The place was conducive for a decent meal and conversation with a group of friends.
Under the Lok Lok menu, there are 40 varieties to items to choose from. Ranging from meat, vegetables and frozen stuffs. Lok Lok are done in either boil, deep-fried or grill style. After you have pick your choice, you just need to inform the friendly staff how you want it to be done. The mantou is a must try in deep fried style. The condiments, you can mixed your own concoction from the push cart.
The main, I ordered a chicken cutlet with sides. Sides you can choose either rice with egg or bun + coleslaw + fries + baked beans.
The chicken cutlet were extremely large. The breaded skin was crunchy and flavorful. It bring a different texture. Every bite were full of juicy and tender meat. It bring back fond memory of the old school day where you get to eat big and thick pieces of chicken cutlet.
I highly recommend this place for meal if you are around the area with friends.
O... They do served alcohol too... Cheers!

β β β β β Cosy ambience and good service from the staff. Food is slightly on the pricier side compared to similiar western food served in hawker. The chicken and pork chop is good - soft and tender. However, the steak is abit chewy. The chicken wings is mediocre in my opinion. Good place to give it a try and chit chat with your friends.

β β β β β Quite nice as it's homely setting, decent food, accept the cold ketchup "beans". Will suggest they serve hot food in plate, and make their own coffee or tea instead of having 3 in 1 hot drinks in their menu.
No service charge!

β β β β β Food tasted ok. Nothing special, just your standard hawker western food. Coleslaw is very sour. Taste almost like pickled slaw. A bit pricey, my fish and chips was $11.90.
Ambience was practically non existent. Place was dark with staffs playing drinking games with customers and laughing/ talking loudly. Because the place is rather enclosed, the noise is amplified and echoed which didnβt make for a comfortable eating experience.
Male server/ chef also did not wear a mask throughout the duration of our meal!

β β β β β We literally walked into this place without any prior plans. The concept of Lok Lok and Western seemed very alien to us but we are thinking maybe this place is a popular drinking place in the evenings and Lok Lok as bar grub is not a bad idea. Place has very chill vibes.
We ordered a pork chop, a sirloin and a fish and chip, all part of their special sets. The signature sauce goes very well with the steak. Pork chop and Fish & Chips were also acceptable.
Another western food place with aircon in my list.

β β β β β Restaurant looks cool.
But steak is lousy. Taste blend and in fact the worst stake I tried in my memory. Not cheap also, I paid $16. I ate half and left. Just don't order it.

β β β β β Atmosphere - very cozy place.
Food - super in love with their signature sauce. Portion quite big. I prefer their cutlet then chop. Lok Lok choice need to add more if possible. Their lok lok sauce many choice. Ice Lemon Tea not that sweet (I don't like sweet drinks)
Price - Reasonable. I paid less than $40 for all these.
Service - Friendly
Will go back to try others.
