Please don't take the secretary service, lot of audited service doesn't included, and doesn't update their record when you really pay the cost, and when you need it, they will ask for evidence ( lucky I keep the invoice, if not you will need to pay another charge.)

Ordered a new company stamp from A1. Despite me making an error with the order type they happily corrected it, refunded the difference, and responded quickly to all emails. Additionally, I received the company stamp by delivery the NEXT BUSINESS DAY. One of the best service experiences I've had with a business of its kind in Singapore to date.

One stop shop for all small business needs. They efficiently print stamps, file official documents, and provide a host of other services such as hosting and web design. I visited at 3pm on a weekday to get some company stamps made and I didn't have to wait at all. The stamps were done quickly and efficiently, and the lady behind the counter didn't waste any time getting the stamps made.

The staff is extremely incompetent and have zero advisory capabilities. I’m not sure if they are even trained accountants. I wanted to register my company and went to them thinking they may be able to advise on registration related decisions, so I don’t have to spend time researching. As a founder, I already have endless things to do, and was happy to outsource this one thing to “experts”, at a seemingly reasonable fee. But I was so wrong! These guys can only enter the information you give them into a government website. So if you want to register a company and are just looking for someone to enter the data for you in bizfile website, then go for them. But if you are looking for someone to give you even the smallest advice DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! I started the company registration process with them and here’s a part of the conversation on some basic requirements during the process: Financial year Me: what dates would you suggest for company’s financial year? Staff: xx Oct to xx Sep Me: But most companies tend to have financial years Jan to Dec, or Apr to Mar. Isn’t it better to choose a similar period? Staff: But there’s only 2 months left in the year. Me: you’re right, it’s Oct now, so there’s only 2 months left. But that doesn’t quite answer my question.... ...followed by a few more irrelevant answers, before I could finally find out why it should be Oct to Sep. SSIC code Me: Should SSIC code be based on the industry or the activity coz I looked at the list and there seems to be multiples options that I could use. Staff: You can choose from the list. Me: yes, I understand. But that doesn’t quite answer my question... ....followed by a few more irrelevant answers, before I gave up and decided to find out on my own. Corporate bank Me: which corporate bank would you recommend for startups? Staff: which bank do you like? Me: Personally, I like xx bank coz I’ve been banking with them for 20 years and never had a problem, but I’ve never used their corporate banking services so I’m not sure if they’re also good for startups. Staff: There’s dbs, ocbc, uob. Which one you want? Me: yes, I’m aware of the banks in Singapore, but different banks offer different corporate banking services and I just want to know if some banks are better suited for early stage startups based on your experience as corporate secretary and advisors on bank selection. Staff: (agitated) it’s upto you! We can’t tell you which bank! If you want to can use another company to do your registration. Conclusion: do your own research. All the information, and even advice, is available on various sites. Company registration process in Singapore is very easy and straightforward. Just do it yourself. Which is what I did in the end.
