★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had attended Agile Leadership & Management talk organised by GA, and the guest speaker was Chuen Chuen.
It was a very insightful sharing by Chuen Chuen. Though the session was just an hour, but she managed to cover quite a fair bit of topics.
What strikes me most are areas like Strength Finder and how we use this as a key element for developing our team.
Another takeaway from the session would be giving constructive feedback. A lot times, being the more conservative Asian, we have the tendency to shy away from this. But this is really a tool that we can use to guide our team.

I learnt about the importance of communication in the form of story telling and how story telling should be holistic and not just recounting facts. Chuen Chuen's talk was inspirational and very practical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attended a 2 hour session with Chuen Chuen as part of the Asian Scientist - Elsevier Foundation Leadership Salon regarding leadership storytelling. Chuen Chuen was engaging and energetic, and the session itself was impactful in the way I thought about using stories to create impact and influence. The hands on exercise in creating our own introductions was really useful in showing how we could create engaging stories of our holistic selves and not just one facet of ourselves. Excited to use more of the principles she shared to create stories that deliver impact!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As part of professional learning, I was glad to attend Chuen Chuen's talk on Agile Leadership. Through her sharing, it is interesting to learn how we can listen to our five inner voices to think differently and cultivate agility.
Also having read Chuen Chuen's book '8 Paradoxes of Leadership Agility' which provides valuable insights from her coaching experiences with leaders, her book is a must-read for leadership development. Highly recommended!

I really liked the way she spoke and warmed up the room, something about her speech felt prepared yet effortless - a live example worth emulating. The structure of the activities and her presentation, embodied her lesson of 'show not tell'.
Looking forward to attending more trainings in the future. I believe she can really help me excel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a very fruitful 2 hours sitting in Chuen Chuen's workshop two weeks ago, learning practical tips on how to go about crafting a relatable personal introduction with story telling techniques. The tips shared at the workshop were engraved in my mind with practical examples and on-the-spot hands-on practices. Such teaching techniques is one of the most effective I have seen in many years. Chuen Chuen exudes a strong presence during her presentation despite her petite physique. This captivating presence was somehow encapsulated by her own story telling ability - a true illustration of how actions speaks louder than words.
