I always love having this beehoon whenever I crave for it! Just right below Pioneer MRT station, easy to find. If you drive, it is just below the carpark. IG: mommyserene FB: wellness2fitnesssg

Been patronising this stall regularly since my uni days, roughly close to 20 years ago. Short hair ah lian used to run this stall hence the given name. The beehoon and chicken wings were really damn good; rest of it were just standard item - fishball, seaweed chicken, french beans etc. so no special comment. This place used to be flocked with so many patrons, but the food was really queing for. Sadly, went back at least 3 times on different occasions and i have to agree with the rest that ah lian beehoon no longer lives up to his name. Charred beehoon, salty chicken wings, bitter tasting chilly - there’s really no point travelling to the end of Jurong for this. Any economy beehoon stall near your place would easily do your job now. Maybe one day they will bring back the old standards, but for now, its completely off my to-go place for beehoon.

Ah Lian Bee Hoon($4.40) A mixture of yellow noodles, bee hoon & kway teow with - Fried Egg - Otah - Ngoh Hiang(Five-Spice Meat Roll) The noodles in general were more greasy but heavier in taste. Yellow noodles were normal, bee hoon had its standard with bites of bean sprout but I find it lacks fragrance, as for kway teow, definitely the winner here among the three noodles, that slippery silky texture sinfully cover your mouth with oiliness is one not to be mess around, leaving a savoury note after each bite.? Love Lian's sambal as their is spicier and wetter with bites of caramelized onion in it. Shiok.? Just get kway teow and bee hoon can already.✌️ 2nd visit: - Chicken Wing standard marination taste ok - Cabbage with Dried shrimp and garlic Still gonna conclude their stuff are oily but tasty.

Forgot to take photos of the nasi lemak set I ordered. The rice and chilli sambal were mediocre at best. The luncheon meat was poorly fried. I saw a couple of house flies sitting on the otah that was sitting unwrapped on a plate. So much for their hygiene. Would I eat here again? Definitely not!

On one of the very rare occasions I had to be in this neighbourhood, I decided to stop by to get a taste of this popularly reviewed economic bee hoon. Browsing through the review history I am guessing what I had today is not what it was before. The young lady that served me today was incredibly courteous and polite, and thanked me for waiting since the customer before had placed a big order of noodles, and wanted his chilli and chicken wings packed separately. My noodles weren't bad at all, just the fried chicken wings seem a little darker than expected. My kway teow had a slight wok hei. The chilli was good too. Perhaps not the best review since my pack of noodles travelled for more than an hour before consumption, but I would come back again if I am in the area!

Patronised them for the last 2 decades . They were definitely much better before . Standards dropped quite a bit over the years. Not sure if its because business is slowing, but food seems to be cold no matter what time of the day I purchased. Something I hadn't experienced before this year . So if you're trying them out be prepared for cold food I'm not sure if it's due to age making me more conscious about the food but it's really oily nowadays. It really kills the enthusiasm when you get cold and oily food . 2 stars because they still open late at night but I seriously wouldn't recommend with their current standards.

It’s not the first time nor second that I come back opening the food like that. I had tried to be really polite and gave a piece of mind to the lady, saying that recently I realise their noodles have burnt black pieces. She took it negatively, gave me a stern look and didn’t bother to even reply a word.. I know this is cheap and convenient food, I used to love it a lot but lately their food has so many overly charred, burnt, black pieces. Yes you may be concern on your “wok hei” and taste, but this is so different compared when you first established. Currently, it’s as bad as the pictures I’ve shown… I really don’t enjoy posting negative thoughts! I’m not here to shame but I just hope to see more passion on the food you cook, like how it used to be, that I used to know. It really wasn’t fun to go through all the noodles in order to have a piece of mind feeding the younger and the elder..
