After checking out many competitors in the area, this is great place to buy paint and chemicals, they stock all the major brands including Jotun, my favorite brand for quality at a reasonable price. Also sell chemicals like kerosene and mythelated spirit (or alcohol) at cheap prices, ard $7 for 3.3l. Highly recommended.

I had the very worse experience with this shop. Bought over $300 worth of paint from them to paint my house. Without strong knowledge of paint technology nowadays, found out that one of my paint is mixed with wrong base. The mistake was realized after finished the 1L of the wrong paint, and bought another can from a nearby shop. The color tone from the wrong mixed can is quite close to the catalog book, which don’t cause any alarm. Next day, went back to Aikly to request for exchange or refund. The person there refused to do so claiming that I finish up the wrong paint. I told him that if I know it’s wrong, I won’t have used it. Wasting my time, brush, rollers, and effort painting it. If I had enough paint and didn’t buy extra, I won’t even know the mistake at all. While talking to the old guy, another young guy (son of the old guy) stood up and shouted vulgarities at me. Saying I disturbed his lunch. Behaving like a gangster and threatening. This is definitely a shop that no one should step into despite the very slight lower price. Cheat my money of wrong paint and extreme bad attitude. I will log a CASE report on this.

1 month ago, I called up Aikly Paints & Chemical Pte Ltd to enquire about the price of protective plastic sheet. A man over the phone told me that there were 2 types of plastic sheet. $1 per piece is thinner, and $1.50 is better quality and thicker. I went down to the shop . There was a young Chinese man at the counter. When I asked for the plastic sheet. He showed to me and said the thinner was $1 per piece and the thicker one was $2 per piece. I told him that I just called and a man told me was $1.50 for the thicker sheet.He said it was $2 and not $1.50. Thinking that this young man was the man who answered my call just now, and may be he himself made a mistake for the price. I bought 10 pieces from him. I paid him $20 and asked for a receipt. He said I had to pay for another $1.40 for GST if I wanted a official receipt from him. Finally I did not ask for the receipt and left. Yesterday, I went down to the same shop to buy more plastic sheet. The same young man was at the counter. When I walked in, a Chinese lady walked out of her office and entertained me. The young man remained seated at the counter. When I asked for the plastic sheet, the lady told me $1 is thinner and the thicker one is $1.50. Immediately ,I knew that I was cheated by the young man a month ago. The man in the phone told me was $1.50 and this lady also told me is $1.50. Unfortunately I could not prove to the lady that the young man sold me $2 per piece as I did not have any receipt. The young man is very dishonest,especially to cheat old people like me . This feedback is to remind all customers who patronize this shop to be careful when buying any painting items from this deceitful young man . And also to tell the owner of this shop to be aware of this young man if he is the employee. What a pity that such a young dishonest man tarnished the reputation of a reliable and trusted shop

I went to the shop yesterday to buy a wood filler. As I did not know the exact color of the wood filler, I bought the closest color I think is suitable. However, I find the color of wood putty did not match my wooden floor. I brought back the wood putty hoping to exchange for another color. The young Chinese man told me I cannot exchange. So I accepted the shop policy of no exchange. So I decided to look at other colors of wood putty. The young sales person took the bottle away from me said I cannot open and have a look inside. I was considering buying another bottle with other color. The attitude of the sales man was sorry if you don't want to buy please get out of my shop. Very rude and unfriendly attitude. I will never step into the shop again for very bad service. He could do it nicely and tell me its their company policy that we cannot open the bottles but instead brush me off 26 May 22 Thank you for your kind reply. Just to put things in correct perspective. I called the shop in the morning and I believed you may had answered the call. I was informed that the shop closed at 6pm. Secondly, yes I did open the wood putty can to hv a closer look at the color as the color chart did not reflect the exact color. Put it correctly I did not take the putty out to test. I hope you do not create such story. I was just comparing the color with my own sample. I am a lay person, not fickle minded person like you said.. You did not really help me to choose the color, just ask me to refer to the color chart. What put me off is that while I was willing to buy another can of wood putty, open the can to have closer look, you just took the can from me and put back on shelf and went back to your desj. This is not customer service and a rude gesture to tell customers please get out of my shop.
