Lawrence impressed us with his out-of-the-box innovative concepts from our 1st meeting with him. He was the only ID we had met who could really see solutions to our problems with space-planning in a challenging but full-of-potential apartment. His emphasis is rightly on function and flow (spaces) before mere aesthetics alone. Now that we are living in our renovated apartment, we are very happy and appreciative of the optimised spaces and flow of our entire apartment! Lawrence is also very detailed and deliberate in his design work and aesthetics- so that the entire apartment is a coherent whole that has spaces that speak to one another. His creative thinking also "elevated" our low ceiling to create a larger volume of space that was otherwise rather oppressive-feeling. He was patient with us throughout the process with our many enquiries and vacillations between difficult choices. He was never pushy, but also not afraid to speak his mind so that we may make better-informed decisions. We were glad to have him guide us throughout the entire process. We also had the privilege of having an excellent contractor and company recommended by Lawrence to be in charge of the construction. Big thank you to William and Meng of PM Image Builders Pte Ltd. They were super responsible and responsive. They truly live up to their slogan of "quality is our pride." Their work is top-notch. Wonderful boss, project manager and staff. They were a joy to work with! Amazing team and set-up at Akihaus. Once again, thank you, guys!

We engaged Lawrence after meeting several IDs as his proposal was not cookie-cutter style but an amalgamation of his creativity and our personal preferences. As such, the design phase and planning took us a good two months and the detailed drawings that resulted were a reflection of his meticulous nature. We particularly love what he did for our ceiling which was changed from an undulating low to subtle gorgeous arches at the side, giving it a sense of height. Despite the tight deadlines, Lawrence and his contractor, William, completed our place on time and with minimal disruptions. We are truly appreciative!

We have been living in a landed property for more than 20 years. Recently we moved into an apartment one third the size of our previous home. Everything seemed so daunting when we received the keys to our small apartment. However, we were fortunate to have found Mr Lawrence Phuah of Akihaus, our ID. After several meetings with a patient Lawrence, our anxiety was allayed. He and his team were able to put together a design to our liking. Throughout the project, we were very pleased with his performance, he answered our queries promptly, always opened to our views and also giving his frank opinions. He was also able to clearly explain why certain of our ideas were not suitable for our house. He was careful not to overstretch the intended budget we had set. The whole journey was smooth and the new home we moved into is more than we could imagine, with the high quality finishes to boot. We are also thankful for the good workmanship done by William, who worked hand in hand with Lawrence. We would strongly recommend Lawrence to anyone who wishes to renovate their house without problems.
