I like the school as I went there for Japanese noodle preparations and cookies. I like the school as chefs are friendly and facilities is good. The different courses cater to people from all backgrounds can attend eg food and beverage trainees, mid career ppl and housewives can upgrade their skills.

my mom is deaf and she signed up for this class. the wanted her to do e learning on the weekends. Firstly they couldnt even give her a link to the website. On top of that when she tried to enter, the password they gave her was wrong and when she inquired abt ir they gave her another wrong password. she was so frustrated and worried to be an inconvenience to the teacher she turned to me for help. Pls all im asking is to have better communication with the students to make e learing more easier . Thanks

I signed up for a short 4 day bread baking course over the weekend and I must admit it was one of the best courses I've ever taken so far. The studio was clean, everyone was assigned to individual work stations. It was a full hands-on experience and we got to bring our breads home. This is good, in other cooking schools you have to eat what you make on the spot/ divide and distribute within your groupmates. Equipment was up to date and they provide refreshments during respective breaks.I love that you can help yourself to coffee and other beverages from the machine. Overall, the class was really interactive and kudos to Chef Anup, he's super skilled, really patient and kind! I enjoyed interacting with people from different age groups in the class. It was an experience in itself. They even provided us with enough materials , such as booklets ,e learning guides and disposable aprons to get through the class. Friendly staff. I would say the only downside is the location- if you live far you gotta travel to this place, it can be slightly inaccessible as it is nestled between the older HDBs, you definitely have to take a bus to get here if you're travelling by MRT... if you are looking for eateries, there's Subway, Pizza Hut and Mcdonalds right by the block. I will definitely recommend this cooking studio to people. Really worth it! Will revisit if I find something relevant to cooking instead of baking. Keep going and well done, I really enjoyed my time here ! :)

Friendly staff but totally disorganized! Class did not start on time; sat in classroom for more than 45 mins before staff came in to take attendance and checking attendees particular @ one at a time! Totally no respect of time! Teacher was ok but lesson was dragging to fill up time. Don’t recommend this place if you’re looking for quality learning:(

Very disappointed. 1 day before the basic bread making workshop commence, received message that the course is cancelled due to logistics problem.

Unfortunately, I never got to take the lessons at the school as the start was already off-putting. Despite having telecon confirmation of our classes, and being told all administrative stuff will be handled on 1st day of lesson, we were bummed off the class on the week when lesson was supposed to commence. Reason being that the class was overbooked!!! I have no idea how this could have happened. Having just completed my lessons at AGB, I can only say the administration and professionalism at this school left a bitter taste. This review is solely on the administration process of the school. I can only hope the trainers are more professional.

Attended all the workshops in this institute, n I did learn a lot from most of the Trainers in this school . Especially Chef Anna & Anup . Chef Anna is my first and most favourite trainer ( Sushi ) as I love her vibes in class . She is very organised , systematic , and comprehensive in her teaching . I am a easy but not easy students ,not particular about casual factors but expect professionalism from all the trainers . I did have some disappointments as no school is perfect and not all Chef are good trainers , but they are definitely not amateur. But I did benefit a lot from good trainer like Chef Anup and deeply appreciate him for his patience, guidance and help . I am definitely one of his most challenging students and tend to drain him out as he taught me repeatedly as baking n cooking is really not my thing at all. Just some objective sharing here : Allspice institute has several good Chef/ trainers , some students just happened to have some unpleasant experience due to situational and social factors . And like what I mentioned before, not all Chef are experience trainers but they are definitely qualified in their profession. Well, I shall say that it is still a good educational institution with some flaws ( which is common even to some big institutions ) Most importantly they are taking feedback well and looking into it .

Attended Japanese sushi preparation course (34.5hr).Awesome trainers who are enthusiastic, encouraging and patient. Passionate to share their knowledge on cooking and food related topics. Serious assessors for practical and theory test. Interesting tea break prepared by in-house chef (instructor).
