β β β β β Looking back at my short time I had studying at Chu Wei's tuition centre, I could tell that he really has a passion (maybe a bit too much) for maths and equalling that is his passion for teaching the subject as well. Personally, Chu Wei not only helped me in maths, but in life as well. He taught me how to plan my schedule properly, give me wake up calls when necessary, as the remaining time I had left to A levels were shrinking to zero. He taught me how to better my math workings to ensure that I score the marks. He taught me how someone could put in so much of time and effort in each and every one of his students so that they can achieve their wanted grades. Personally, he was not just a tuition teacher, but also a pillar of support that I could count on in times of need, emotionally and academically.
My personal story aside, I can safely say that they way he teaches us is definitely not just mollycoddle us and give us answers for free. Rather, he teaches each and every concept step by step, guiding us through that scary forest aka maths, helping us to understand why this step is done this way or why must you do that step first before the other.
And even then, he still does not stop here. If he found a way to care for his students through academics, he will also find a way to better their welfare. Throughout his classes, he has never failed to provide us with breaks that are filled with snacks on a portable tray, drinks in the refrigerators and even hot towels to refresh ourselves before we begin the second half of the lesson. I also vividly remember him continuously finding more ways to improve our welfare by adding on snacks that were more wanted by his students for example, tea, oreo and etc. If he was serving at a restaurant, heβd probably be mistaken for a waiter since he loves acting it out in class a lot. In addition to all that, he also has his own self made spin the wheel and mystery box with different prizes to be won (not gonna say its contents for the element of surprise) which are honestly helpful for us students who wants to cut down/ earn money.
And not forgetting his newest addition, the lounge. An area beside the classroom where it acts as a study area for students to study in when they have no where else to study/cannot study at home like me. Personally, that lounge became my second home during my journey to Aβs and during covid times as I found it hard to even find places outside to study with my friends. So honestly, im eternally grateful for him providing us with that lounge for us to study, not to mention, free wifi. That too is a lifesaver on its own as we can use it for anything and its not those public wifi where it is unprotected or anything. But your typical home wifi which is good.
Overall, thank you for always being my pillar of support during this tough journey known as A levels.

β β β β β Ever since Sec 4, I had panic attacks during Math papers in an exam setting. I had troubles managing my time and even after tonnes of practice, I often felt like during exams I encountered question types that I've never seen before. I barely got A for Math in JC Preliminary Exams and was lacking confidence. I did not want to risk it for A' levels so upon my friend's recommendation I joined AO Studies.
The first thing that I noticed at AO studies was the conducive learning environment and the fact that Chu Wei, the tuition teacher, is so friendly and approachable. My favourite thing about Chu Wei is that he goes above and beyond and caters to your specific needs and identifies your individual weaknesses. He is very patient and teaches multiple methods to problem solving. Knowing that our attention spans are short, he holds breaks in between lessons where he passes you a warm towel and snacks. This really kept me going. But the main reason why I'd recommend AO Studies to everyone out there is because Chu Wei built my confidence from ground up in the subject by giving me the hardest questions from each topic to do. Instead of spending hours doing all the practice questions in revision papers, doing the hand-picked set of questions given by Chu Wei will prepare you for any exam in a very short period of time. If you can solve it, then it really boosts your confidence and if you are unable to do it, then he will teach you the method in a way that you can easily remember it. Either way, it's a win-win and an excellent time-saver. If you feel like you are lagging behind in school and all your work is snowballing then this is the place to go to catch up on your Math.
I had a friend who is always 3 chapters behind the rest of the class for Math. After going to Chu Wei's lessons, she was 2 chapters ahead in no time and she got straight As. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you, Chu Wei!

β β β β β Since the start of secondary 3 my AM has been atrocious(F9/E8/D7) and i didnt understand most if not all of the content taught to me in school and at the end of secondary 3 I joined AO studies. Chu Wei was more than just a teacher he shares with us his experiences and gives us advice on our future plans and is a real inspiration. He would teach you the concepts, and his tutorials would get harder and harder every practice. For integration and differenciation his teaching methods helped me understand it better than when i was taught at school. My grades improved drastically to Bs during prelims. He clarifies my doubts and questions that I have even after class has ended. His methods and explanation are clear and easy to grasp and would explain it until i got the hang of it, making sure that we understood how to do it and not just getting the right answer. After every lesson, I would be leaving the class feeling accomplished that i had learnt something new. He gives us quizzes and tests that are killers and ulitmately that helped me in taking on harder questions and being able to do well for my o levels. He also opened my eyes to a different world of mathematics. I ended up scoring both A1s for o levels.
Thank you Chu Wei!

β β β β β My daughter came under Chu Weiβs guidance for Maths. She was taught with patience, encouragement and most importantly helped her in a subject she was always failing to very good grades in the Cambridge examinations. Highly recommended for any students looking to improve existing grades or to excel further. Tutors in the center taught with their hearts and provide excellent mentorship for throughout the stressful journe!

β β β β β Very thankful to have found out and joined Chu Wei's math class in the middle of J1. At that point i found JC math really challenging even though it was only the beginning. It wasn't until joining his class that i had clarity on the subject and true understanding. I really appreciated the fact that Chu Wei was always more than willing to help his students gain understanding rather than just spoon feeding answers. He never rushed his classes just to achieve the goals of that class, but instead ensured everyone was on the right track.
Chu Wei is also a really dedicated teacher. He constantly seeks his students' feedback on his lessons and lesson materials so as to better tweak and cater to his students' learning needs and pace. Chu Wei continues to push his students to their highest potential. Thanks to him, i was able to achieve an A for math at my preliminary examinations.
What sets him apart from other tuition teachers is that he constantly produces new higher order level thinking questions for his students to stretch them. His questions were created by him and were indeed different from the normal tutorial questions we did in school. It really helped me in answering novel questions during examinations.
Not only does Chu Wei look out for his students academics wise, he also deeply cares about his students' welfare. Concerned that his students would be hungry during his lessons, he provides snacks and drinks to help his students stay focused. He understands the stress and struggle of being a JC student and would often engage in conversation with us like a friend to find out if we are alright. Understanding that sometimes students may be demoralised, he always implements new ideas such as a reward system to spur students on.
Chu Wei's lessons were always one i could look forward too. No matter how tired and stressed his students are, he always manages to bring joy and laughter to the classroom. Overall, Chu Wei has definitely made learning a whole lot more enjoyable and i would definitely recommend going to him for math tuition classes!

β β β β β Mr Chu Wei is an exceptional and experienced math teacher who can effectively and precisely bring across key concepts and strategies to a struggling student. He pushes us to think and solve problems outside the box, and always takes the time to answer any questions that we might have. Not only does he ensure that our foundation is strong by giving us tutorials, but he also stretches our thinking and tests our understanding with application-based class tests.
Mr Chu Wei always makes sure that we are comfortable during his lessons, and he keeps a good pace for learning. He is patient and kind, and ensures that everyone is capable of understanding the material. Of course the free snacks and drinks are a bonus!

β β β β β During my J2 days, I was really struggling with math. Although my fundamentals were there, my lack of fluency and abundance of careless mistakes meant that I was consistently getting S/U for my exams, even all the way up to prelims! That was when my friend recommended AO Studies to me, and encouraged me to sign up for Chu Wei's 2 month revision course before A levels.
As I went through the programme, I discovered that math was really not as difficult as it seemed because Chu Wei was able to break down what complex topics into small chunks of information. His passion for math, alongside the wealth of knowledge about the subject made it possible to do so as he used unique ways to explain certain concepts and ideas (like small angle approximation). From doing his self-curated, uber-challenging tutorials (especially the DE one), I learnt how to approach and solve topics in a more methodical and straightforward way. Moreover, Chu Wei held mini timed practices where getting the answer(s) correct and within the time meant we could "spin the wheel" for q useful prizes (like COLD HARD CASH)!! Apart from the rewards, I think the more valuable outcome was that I could improve both my speed and accuracy in ALL math topics, especially the ones that I struggled with the most. In fact, I could see an almost immediate improvement when I did prelim questions afterwards. In addition, Chu Wei will always spend time with us after class if we had extra questions to ask him or if we wanted to clarify any doubts that arose during lesson time, and he will take the time to make sure that we fully understand his explanations!
Besides the math tuition itself, the welfare is AWESOME!! During the 5 min break in the middle of lesson, Chu Wei will give us hot towels, hot tea AND let us choose from a whole array of snacks/cold drinks to refresh ourselves and rest before the next half of the lesson. Additionally, we have free access to the lounge at any time and at any day (with EXCELLENT wifi), which is right beside the tuition centre. As a person who struggles to study at home, this lounge was a boon for me as I could study in a comfortable area without the need to worry about anyone kicking me out/timeslots in cafes or libraries (due to covid restrictions). In fact, it became my second home during the A levels study break and the exam period. I have went there almost every day, from morning till night, revising and studying for As. This helped me to be more focused, motivated and productive during this key revision period.
Lastly, I want to thank Chu Wei for being not only a math teacher, but also a friend and mentor to myself and his students. He always does his best to help us both academically and mentally, giving us motivation through his words and actions. He is always there to help make life that bit more easier during this stressful period, be it through the spontaneous bubble tea treats, the printing hundreds of pages of past year prelim papers (yes he really did that for me foc), or just popping by the lounge occasionally to check on us.
All these things really helped me to feel more at ease during the As period, and because of Chu Wei, I was able to improve 4 grades from my prelims! More than the result itself, I feel that Chu Wei was instrumental in helping me enjoy the process of learning math and has made me love the subject! Thank you Chu Wei :")

β β β β β I'm really grateful to have joined Chu Wei's math class in J1, he is an extremely patient and helpful teacher and is always going the extra mile to ensure his students can properly grasp the complex math concepts.
He's always finding new and innovative ways to motivate and push his students to work harder, and I really appreciate how he always makes time to answer any queries we have before or after class. He is someone who is very friendly which makes it very easy to approach him and ask for help to clarify any doubts. I also really appreciate the effort that Chu Wei puts in when crafting absurdly difficult math questions, it really pushes you to think and prepares you well for the questions that appear during the A levels. Thank you sir and thanks for always keeping the fridge well stocked.
