Aphrodite Waffles & Gelato - 106 Desker Rd

Their ice cream is pretty good, it's fresh with little to no shards of ice in them. Their waffles are also fresh and crispy. The lighting of the place is good however the seating isn't the most comfortable. I recommend going there in groups of 2 to 4.

A nice cozy gelato parlour nestled among the row of shop houses at Desker road. A little out of place and you may missed it unless you see looking to chill out with gelatos and coffee. Gelato assortment is interesting. We tried snowflakes jasmine, sunset lavender and bitter gianduja. It is interesting how they named the gelatos. Makes me curious of the owner. Besides the the gelatos, Chinese tea is found in the menu which is first I seen of such combo. The tea is served in a transparent glass pot and cups which feel aesthetically enjoyable. There are miniature of vase set, hand made charm and bracelet made of crystals/stones and few other handiworks on sale. Bring up the charm of the simply design shop and complimented with very nicely arranged dry flowers through out the shop. The shop staffs are very polite and helpful which the the experience a pleasant one for a first time visit.

Pretty unique Ice Cream & Gelato café. First time coming into a shop and trying to guess a mystery ice cream flavor. If guessed correctly, you would get an extra free scoop. Sadly my friends and I didn't managed to guess the flavor but it was extremely fun and a great way to create conversations between the cafe and customers. Totally recommend visiting this café.

Opens till 11pm. Waffles were quite crispy and not bad but ice cream flavours were not well executed. The intensity and balance of flavours were not well done. Very average. Texture is smooth though. Tried lavender and biscoff (I think).

Good quality ice cream. All of the ice cream we had was very smooth and creamy. Even the sorbet was smooth and creamy. Want to try waffles next time.

Very crispy and fluffy waffle! Ordered hojicha and pistachio ice cream~ there is also a special flavour for us to guess! ? will be back to try other flavours!

A quaint nice little cafe in Desker Road, heard good reviews about their waffles and gelato. Was quite strange it was empty when I visited during dinnertime, I was expecting it to be crowded and probably will have difficulty getting a table. Being served by 2 nice girls in the shop who ran through the flavours and also recommendations, allowed us to try some flavours before ordering. There is this interesting flavour where people can try and guess the ingredients used and if correct will be able to get a free scoop of the mystery flavour. Was fun and not easy to guess. I have to say the waffles is one of the best I have tasted. I really liked how crispy the outer and how soft the interior is. The gelato is also very well done and complemented well with each other. I liked the pistachio one a lot, was thinking of trying the chocolate with blue cheese but in the end decided to go with a safer biscoff instead. Perhaps one day will return for that again. Loved the cups they used to serve coffee too.

ambience is good, very aesthetically pleasing. Tried the snowflake jasmine flavor, the bouquet flavor, roasted pistachio and chocolate. They were very different in taste but was amazing. 10/10 would eat here again.
