AutismSTEP - 9 Temasek Boulevard

Autism Step is a great help for our child who has a speech difficulty. He is having hard time pronouncing letter r. We enrolled him on their speech therapy center also known as Hanen program. His speech therapist is professional and he was able to help my child to overcome his speech concern. Thank you Autism Step!

It was such an amazing journey with AutismSTEP! I first got to know about my nephew having asd in 2018. He was 3 years old then. The school was always calling my brother to complain about him walking around and not following instructions. I search up on google on autism and he met most of the signs like no eye contact, not responding when I call him, not talking, like to spin things. As my brother is very busy with work, I helped him to look for help for my nephew. I called up many centres and none of them took the time to really understand my nephew’s condition except AutismSTEP. AutismSTEP was also upfront to me on the areas that they can help and the areas that they can’t. The prices of all the centres are around the same but AutismSTEP policies are very fair. So after discussing with my brother, we decided to go for this organization. The initial consultation was very professional. Liyuan, the Programme Manager, came to my brother’s house on a weekend and although it is supposed to be 1.5 hours, we spoke for around 2.5 hours and Liyuan is still patient in answering all our questions in details. Like to take this chance to apologise to Liyuan as I was really really worried for my nephew. Therapy started in the next week. I was worried that the therapy is conducted by other team members of AutismSTEP and not Liyuan himself, I was skeptical and worried again. Frankly, in the first week, my nephew was whining. Liyuan did mention to us that this may happen but I was still worried. From the 3rd week onwards, more amazing things happened! He started asking for things he want by talking instead of just crying or pulling us to the item. My sister in laws broke down in tears of happiness. Liyuan told me it is about time that my nephew should stop therapy with AutismSTEP as he is already on track. On one hand I am very happy, on the other I am very sad that I have to leave AutismSTEP as I trust them so much with their advises and improvement that they can bring about for my nephew. I really like to thank the whole team of AutismSTEP for creating a miracle for my nephew and giving him a chance to lead a childhood just like any other children again.

Autism step is highly professional. Not only my Son, myself also benefit a lot from the whole journey. The CMs are kind, considering and the syllabus are well designed. Thank you very much for the help to us! Highly recommended to whoever needs the help too!

I want to thank case manager Marilyn for helping my son improve over the past year. His teachers has good feedback on his improvement in attention span and speech, he used to speak in single words and now he has started to build full sentences. We are very encouraged!

I have a lot of positive words to Autism Step. We met a therapist from Autism Step in a conference regarding autism and she was so nice and my 7 year-old niece and her started to develop a trust to each other. My brother was then convinced that we should try this place as this might help his child to develop confidence and trust in facing other people. She also have speech difficulty. We requested her to be her facilitator and we can say that she was indeed a great help to her. She can utter simple words and can now express her thoughts through simple description. That is something worth to be bragging about and we thank Autism Step for helping us.

Case Manager LiLing is really awesome, she had coached and taught My daughter really very well throughout all the sessions. Creating a lot of miracles! She is very professional , kind and really patient with her. My girl’s behavioural issues had improved a lot, getting more sensible and aware. She is able to express herself much better , able to answer and reply questions without help and no more parroting. Overall, is really a great breakthrough! Thanks so so much ???

I am writing this review for AutismSTEP as a gratitude for their effort and patience in helping our son. He was diagnosed with autism when he was five years old and dealing and managing our son is not easy. We are busy with our work and we tend to spend a little time to search for useful and workable methods in dealing with him. The case manager assigned to us gave us professional knowledge and skill services, sometime even beyond her job description. After several session, we notice some improvements on him. We are glad to have our son with AutismSTEP

At 5, Hamza was unable to talk properly. He has difficulty communicating. Just using hand gestures or 1 word to communicate. Other times gibberish words used to express his feelings. He has short attention span and always in his own world. I engage AutismSTEP to help Hamza. We notice positive improvements in Hamza's behaviour by the second session. He will get excited and try to say things in a sentence. Not only Hamza is forth coming in trying to speak up, his handwriting, motor skills and other cognitive development improves. The Teachers were professional and kid-friendly. They are able to handle tantrums and share with us methods we can use to help/guide Hamza.They will always update us with Hamza's progressions after every session and advise us if any. Within 4 months, Hamza is a much relax and happier boy. My experience with AutismSTEP is a good one. Monthly report on Hamza's progress were given. The officers are prompt in replying any issues that arises. .
