Here we can enjoy their original home-made chapati which is quite tasty with the unique texture & aroma. One of the most affordable restaurants in this area. The uncle cashier was also friendly.

Chapati (SGD $1) @ Azmi Restaurant. . Their freshly made unleavened flatbread chapati has a soft chewy texture that tears easily, and hot off the grill, has a lovely smoky bready grainy savoury sweet aroma. . Largely unchanged since patriarch Iftekhar Ahmad set up the stall in the 1960s, his grandsons today carry on the traditional receipe, making chapati using only wheat flour, water, and secret kneading techniques know only to their family. . The most popular pairing is with mutton keema (SGD $3.50), a rich curry of minced mutton, diced potatoes, and garden peas, bold with meaty savoury salty spicy notes. Stewed for up to 3 hours, so succulent.

Good location outlet along Serangoon Road for a quick snack and especially for hot chapati cooked directly before you on the flat iron for take away. You can get them plain, or with gravy for dipping, eating. Sit down dining is also available. 2 plain chapati (no gravy) for take away is $2. Open late.

Ordered the chapati, keema and a dhal curry. While queuing we watched the uncle bent over the stove flipping the chapati effortlessly like he has done so a million times.. because he has. The keema an dhal curry hit all the right taste notes. Unfortunately the chapati was a tad under cooked with residual dough in the flat bread. The chapati would have tasted heavenly if they had stayed on the flat pan for a minute longer. Suspect the uncle was in a hurry to break some sort of world record for the largest number of chapati flipped. Will return for the keema and other dishes.

Been coming here with my parents since young. Still legit as ever. It’s always a good breakfast to start the day with. Freshly made chapati with whatever sides you want. It’s decently priced and fuss free.

Chapati is so soft and thin, but it soaks the gravy really well. They're really famous for their mutton keema, but my fave is actually the chickpeas. The former lacks the punchy kicks the latter boasts. Cabbage was on the crispy/tougher side that day, but I'm alright with that. Well-priced for the portion.

For a perfect Chapati, Azmi Restaurant Located at the junction of Serangoon Road and Norris Road. It is soft, not overly dry, contain a balance moisture, no trace of oil and thicker than most chapati. Can’t really describe unless you eat there. Probably the best chapati available in Singapore. Come which an assortment of curries to satisfy your appetite. Recommended.

Freshly made chapati, hot off the grill. We chances upon the place on a Saturday afternoon and there was a Q. But the service was fast and we got our orders quickly. We got 2 chapati and plain curry. The whole order came to be less than $4. The chapati was soft, the perfect vessel for the thick flavorful curry. Overall would recommend! Tasty and filling!
