★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the gate there was two statues of people guarding it with complex carvings. Buildings were chinese-style. Has a small fountain. Offers flora and fauna. Many skilfully-trimmed plants placed in pots with intricate designs all over it. Also has a waterfall on top of a cave. You can even go into that cave and take a picture. Panormaic view on the pavilion on top of the cave. Even better than that of China. Surrounded by the tranquil jurong lake. Well worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This garden is called "Yun Xiu" in Chinese (蕴秀园), which translates to "Hidden Beauty" Garden, and I would say it is a very good name. Built according to the concept of Su Zhou garden, no matter where you stay in this garden, it is as if you are in a beautiful picture. It looks small but exquisite. After you take a few steps or go through a hidden door, another totally different view just pops up right in front of you. To make things even better, this garden also takes the far away bridge into consideration (a little bit spoiler).
All in all, if you have been to Su Zhou to visit their famous garden, this is the perfect place for you.

The trees didn’t seem hugely impressive to me (maybe I don’t know enough about this art form to be able to appreciate it properly). The best thing about the garden is its very calm and relaxing ambience. At one entrance they also have two very huge bonsai trees which are quite interesting.
