Beautiful place, colonial era and vibes

Beautiful colonial architecture in the newly developed wing of Botanics gdn, the Gallop extension. sitting on top of the hill, this place is now the Botanic Art House, overlooking the Levelz and leedons of Frasier rd. Except for the intense heat, we almost thought we were overseas in King's park Perth. the vista of the tropical forest beneath was beautiful and the lawn spreading in its compound makes u feel like a british governor seeping tea on a hot sunny afternoon. we are very proud of our Unesco Heritage and this extension is a must see for all residents, truly world class, down right to its open air colonial modern toilets. we loved the interactive displays of botanical art work. few outstanding pieces but none rivalled that of William farquhar. Bee's knees cafe sits on top of the hill too by the lawn. a good place to rest amidst the immense vista. Go before it's discovered by the masses.

A well deserved respite from the heat and all the walking, this beautiful colonial building houses botanical sketches, paintings and photos from the late 1800s. By the way the aircon is so cold and awesome. Shiok! By the way, if you visit at night, bring mozzy repellent.

Love the colonial architecture and heritage site converted gallery. The air con can be quite chilly, so do bring a jacket. They have a flower obsession exhibition now, amazing drawings of flowers and plants.

Tucked away in a colonial house on top of a hill at the gallop extension at the Singapore Botanical Gardens, this is a placed dedicated to various art works of all things flora. Fully air-conditioned with both stairs and an elevator to take you to the second floor, you are greeted by a friendly staff at the reception counter and immediately surrounded by rooms filled with thoughtfully decorated floral art pieces at the different stages of their conception. A very interesting experience if you enjoy paintings/sketch work and the thought process behind it. Did I mention that it is free to enter? Worth a visit.
