Bugis 新源记鱼汤 Xin Yuan Ji Fish Soup @Bukit Batok - Bukit Batok Industrial Park A

Very bad experience, ordered the $38 grouper fish head pot and there’s barely any fish in there, more like cabbage pot. Yam was sour. Soup full with msg. Do not recommend anyone to visit.

The yam ring was a total failure, it was sweet instead of salty and too much flour instead of yam. Fish soup taste ok except that the fish was dark, I believe the oil for frying the fish was recycled too many times. I was very thirsty for hours later, I suspect too much MSG. Fried noodles too salty. May not visit again. Staff was friendly and place was clean.

I think this stall is rather dishonest. During our first visit, it was really pleasant. So we came back tonight for another fish soup hotpot. We used to order sliced fish only, so we tried to order it again tonight. But the lady kept saying "鱼肉"(fish meat). I repeated we want sliced fish (鱼片) only. She said okok, and entered "肉" (meat) in her remarks for our order. At this point, she did not tell us that there's additional cost. When the dish was served, there wasn't any sliced fish. The fish was chopped into pieces, it was tough and the portion was much lesser than the previous time we visited. At payment, we were charged $38 instead of $28. I asked to check the menu, the same lady said that we ordered meat only, that's why there's additional $10. I told the lady that she should have told us about this additional cost when we ordered. She replied - 就是这样的(it's like that). It's really terrible. On the whole, their mannerism looked sheepish and seems like all ready to scam. We will not come back anymore. Try and order at your own risk. In response to the new staff you mentioned - the lady who took our order was the same lady since our very first visit. Short hair, not very tall in height, speaks with PRC ascent. She's been there for the 3 occasions that we were there.

Lol.. my worst nightmare. U name yourswlf as Bugis 新源记, where you got the confidence sia.. MSG soup based for the fresh fish soup, sand in the veg. MSG soup based for the fried fish head soup, yucky fishy smell for the fried fish head. Not fresh at all. Cai pu tou fu, deep fried tofu ok, but the Cai pu, seriously, you house sugar is free flow is it? I ordered a savoury dish not a dessert ok You Mai with fermented beans, is your bean expired! Why it smelly and sour!! And your staff said is like this Strongly not recommended to try. Total damage $32+ If I can, I will rate 0 and not 1 star

Supered fish soup and zi char hidden at industrial park. Food are fresh and delicious. Recommend to try fish soup, steamed baby squid and fried rice. They provide islandwide delivery service.

Wallet friendly hidden gem serving amazing charcoal fish head steamboat and zi char at 2019 Bukit batok Street 23 industrial Park A. Highly recommend charcoal fish head steamboat, hokkien mee, pork ribs and steam fish.

Price is reasonable and quality of the fishhead steamboat is good. Would come again. Easy to find parking as it's located within an industrial area.

Wasn't that hungry but the food was so nice. Will come back again for a whole dinner and try all their dishes! The fish soup is amazing!
