I went visit my friend. Forgot to bring my IC and the Indian lady security guard was extremely rude to me at the pass changing counter. Did anyone have any similar experience?

If you are looking for a truly kind and warm heart care home for your beloved elderly, please do not risk your beloved one's life here as the staff does not even show genuine help to a elder visitor to utilize their toilet. Think about it, as visitors to pick up my grandma, not pedestrian or whatsoever, if the reception staff Vani is telling you "No sorry we cannot let you use the toilet. I am just doing my job, this is what I have been instructed." to turn down your mom who has been holding her urgency for so long when you have been paying for their service. That was ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS and made me doubt this hospitality that is provided by this so called CARE HOME with NO CARE.

I live nearby this place and the fire alarm went off, later it was found to be a false alarm. The announcement went on REPEATEDLY every 2 seconds for a straight 30minutes PLUS on 5/12/2020 from 2.45pm. Firstly announcing the at the fire alarm went on, then later apologise for inconvenience caused. The announcement is seriously disturbing to the neighbourhood in a late afternoon. Even after I closed all the windows the noise keeps coming. Can’t imagine if their infants sleeping or just people resting, it would seriously cause a disturbance and headache to the ENTIRE neighbourhood. Tried calling the centre but they just ignored my calls. I wonder who’s even managing the place. They didn’t bother to stop the announcements at all. Not to mention I sometimes hear an elderly man GROANING so loudly that the opposite blocks can hear. Don’t know if he’s alright but seems like the staff didn’t do a good job calming him down.

After reading the past reviews here, I feel a need to do justice to this nursing home and their committed staff, especially those who are very dedicated in the dementia ward. My mother just celebrated her 80th birthday and this is her 3rd year residing in Bt Batok Care Home. She is bedridden with dementia. Prior to her transfer to this home, she was mistreated in one of the well known nursing homes in Queenstown. Her nightmare ended after a MSW in SGH helped us to transfer mom to Bt Batok Care Home. This home is run in a very systematic and orderly manner. The home is very well equipped and the staff dynamic is great. The caregivers, nurses, therapists and doctors are very caring, patient and detailed. A big THANK YOU to the management and staff of Bt Batok Care Home!
