Burghley ActiveSG Squash & Tennis Centre - 43 Burghley Dr

Been regular at this location. SSC staff are very friendly (2 Chinese male).. But there's one staff (Indian lady) very rude.. she would ask for prove of booking in a very rude way.. that totally spoil my mood for the day..

A quiet but great place to play squash and tennis. However, the premises truly need some upgrading due to its age, especially the bathrooms. Other than, I will recommend Burghley.

Place is kind of old-ish, but relatively well maintained... It had around 5 squash courts and 2 tennis courts. A little old though, and no air conditioning. Not bad, but wish it could have like am equipment rental stall or something? Also a little out of the way but nice surrounding kind of makes up for it.

Right off the bat were we actually chased out without a proper welcome. We came and didnt know what to expect, thus we asked the usual. But we were immediately shut down to look for the info ourselves.. And felt stunned, as we were asked rather rudely on our presence here. So the 1st sentence that came out from ActiveSG staff wasnt a polite greeting of good morning but more, "what are u here for?" Fyi, we just got off the bike and it was at 7.30am. It was an early recce for us too and there parked around, were only about 2 other cars, so, it wasnt even full.. N after that sentence, we were told where the motorcycle parking but there wasnt a proper indicator/demarcation of where d lines were, that is why we were looking around to park, but since couldnt find, we parked beside d bicycle lots.. Ok, nvm, thats just another minus point on our impression..we just keep our cool and just be objective. We just took out our phone and answer to his earlier query.. "We came as we were asked to recce the place, ask price n such, n take fotos of how d processes are like to better smoothen entry processes" And immediately, we were shut down... Again!.. This time, by the guy saying, "U can find all that online".. So we were taken aback again.. Again negative points.. So yes, throughout his conversation, his tone was condescending.. And he reiterated, no taking of photographs... While he was talking, we were like, huh? He continued that this is Active SG, government property.. Ok, that was the last straw, we give up with that sentence when he said that.. To simply put it, he didnt want us there. Jz as we about to leave, mind u, he came, again, probably for service recovery, but we already on bike liao. He showed the Active SG portal using his phone and well thanks Mr Ar, U jz showed ur name.. But ya, we are not saying it as he may be nice to others but just had a bad night, maybe due to some reason or another... So its ok la, we just thanked him n left. Service : 0 Service Recovery : -1 (by only adding salt when we going off) Facility : 0 So for those who faced d same situation, we feel u.. Btw, our trip there n left was less than 5mins with all d beratings.. fyi, we couldnt even take d time to take the helmet off..sighh Proper Service: -Welcome customer nicely. -Direct customer tactfully, if customer is not right. -Share correct info instead of just taiji away -Thank customer That is the way that all companies have been emphasising to their staff, be it, private or government...and encouraging social media publicity. Unless its a military installation, we cant la eh.. ? Hopefully he wont judge us if we drive next time?

Good staff, friendly service and very helpful, also very flexible in helping us change court. Nice place to play as the squash courts at Burghley are much better maintain as compared to kallang squash court, which is a BIG let down. Can be improved further, like having hot shower and aircon the squash court.

A well used tennis and squash centre in a quiet landed enclave. Brings you back to the 80s.

This is a sports facility built in 1980s. Tennis courts are on elevated ground just next to squash court. Ideal for parents who dislike sun but yet want to be near their children hitting tennis balls. It has a vast view of an open grass ground. 4 stars for the unique experience.

Going off peak you save loads of money. Very nice courts tons of space. However the facilities are showing their age, but overall a great place for squash or tennis. Take note that the courts will be closed for renovations from the 27th of september for around 6 months.
