Lousy. Theres no wind at night, dogs come to savage your food (don't leave stuff outside), and the birds were noisy. Couldn't sleep the whole night.

Convenient place to camp at as toilet is a walk away and downtown east is 3 mins drive away. Highly recommended.

Scenic area to camp just next to the sea with a view of the east johor straits and pulau ubin directly opposite your tent. Plenty of people fishing which can give you something to watch (when they catch something) or add to the noise overnight. Generally breezy area most of the time. In my experience it tends to be windier camping here than other places with denser trees catching the wind. There are a couple of toilets with showers in the area. Not hotel standard but usable. There are chalets nearby that have convenient stores you can visit if you need more supplies during your stay. If you're planning a bbq with camping, campit permits are free of charge (book online or at AXS). Bbq pits charge $20 and open from 12pm to 4am (also at AXS). Be sure to print out your permits on AXS even if you used your computer to book. The nearest bbq pit to the campsite is bbq pit 1 with ascending numbers getting further away from the site. If driving to campsite 1, the nearest carpark is carpark A (gantry parking). Bus is a less convenient.

Good and quite place to cycle or run. You can see the plane landing on Changqi one by one.

Enjoy the fresh sea air and breeze. Not a bad place to catch the sun rise or Sunset. Great place for an evening or after dinner stroll.

Knowing that weekends would be packed with people, I chose to ride my bike and pitch my tent on one of the weekdays. Fairly peaceful and you get to enjoy the soft sound of crashing waves during high tide and do some bird watching. The BBQ pits were also vacant most of the time so I got my peace and quiet. Lovely place to catch the sunset and sunrise.
