There was only my table left at night we were trying to catch up, but the dude with long hair was blasting heavy metal music. I went over to feedback nicely that the music was too loud and whether he could turn down the volume a little. He lacked the emotional maturity to take the feedback and decided to turn the volume up which gave one of my friends a headache with the prolonged screaming.
We didn’t want to have any more drinks after our meal and left as soon as possible. Food was 10/10, service was atrocious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite underrated and I wish more people knew about this place. Very tender, crispy, well-fried chicken katsu. Decent portions for the price ($10 for public; $8 for SMU students) and the quality of food justifies the price. Very polite service. Food arrived reasonably fast. Recommended.

visited during dinner time on multiple occasions and have tried their Creamy Salmon Linguine, Pulled Pork Burger, & Wagyu Beef Burger. I always find myself coming back for their Wagyu Beef Burger tho. Canteen Bistro's food never disappoints. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely gonna recommend this place ! The service is good and the food is delicious too! The boss is really generous on the portion as well the price isn’t that expensive ! If you are SMU student, there is a 10% off too so quite worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought it would just be average cafe food since it was in school and the prices are quite the normal price range but it was surprisingly delicious! Got the creamy (umami :D) salmon pasta, grilled chicken and fish and chips to share, and loved every single dish. The grilled chicken's skin was really crispy! The staff were super patient and friendly as well, 10/10 would come back :)
