Really glad to have had my bridal makeup done by Shu Zhen! She was well prepared, punctual, professional and very warm/ genuine(: Prior to my wedding date, Shu Zhen advised me on how best to prep my skin beforehand, was very responsive to my questions/ texts as well prior. She'll encourage you to send her pictures of prefered make up/ hair styles and wedding dress before the actual session itself too! On the day of the wedding, Shu Zhen's patience and great attention to every detail was impressive throughout the hair and makeup process was really impressive. She started by checking which part of the room is most ideal regarding lighting for makeup, and also brings her own portable lamp to brighten the make up area. Shu Zhen made the whole process less stressful not just with her music but also her friendly banter and made me feel at ease on my wedding day. She was able to make possible the natural make up style I was looking for, ensuing that the application enhanced my features rather than give an overdone look (my husband could still recognise me!) Also loved how Shu Zhen's eyelash application was very comfortable and not heavy/ poking into my eyes. Hair styling was beautiful and stayed intact throughout the whole wedding! Highly recommend Shu Zhen if you're looking for a detail oriented and fuss free make over experience(: No regrets at all!

Getting Shu Zhen to do my PWS and AD is one of the best decisions I’ve made ☺️. I love her style of makeup, even my Mum constantly compliments how natural yet elegant it looks during the actual day. Her skills are really commendable and I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a makeup artist! Not only that, her hairstyling skills are amazing as well. She’s attentive to details and spends quality time to ensure everything is in place! Shu Zhen did an outstanding job working within the parameters set by my fiancé! She managed to pull off a look that was well polished without being over the top. She also understood what we wanted, and was able to skillfully bring it to life. Shu Zhen was very amiable and easy to talk to, and she has the skills and professionalism to match. I first engaged Shu Zhen for my D&D few years back and I really loved how natural the makeup turned out. Fast forward to my PWS and wedding day - I engaged her again without any hesitation (thankfully she was available on both dates!) Shu Zhen is very professional and she is really good at what she does. I have really bad dark eye circles and TBH its one of my biggest insecurities. She managed to conceal them so well and the whole look made me feel so confident and comfortable. PLUS POINT: Even my husband who hates seeing make up on me complimented on all the looks she created for me! Really goes to show how natural the whole look was. And everyone complimented my makeup after sharing with them the PWS photos! She is also super easy to get along with! All the sessions with her were super comfortable as she engages in great conversations with her lovable personality alongside with ~soothing~ background music with her portable speaker. Her work partner, Ariel is also super friendly and professional. Even though I did not get to work with her, both my mother and sister were very pleased with their looks and I kept hearing laughters coming from the next door hahah. Can't say enough great things about Shu Zhen, I highly highly recommend her for all the brides-to-be out there!!! Would definitely find her again for my future events so... see you soon Shu Zhen :')

I heard about Shu Zhen from a couple of close friends, and decided to engage her for my wedding day. Throughout the entire journey, she was nothing but helpful and prompt in her replies - she helped to manage schedules for Daisy (mum and MIL's make up artist) as well. My mum and I were very pleased with how the make up turned out, and received many compliments throughout the day - you'll be in good hands. (Thanks for making me look fab on my special day!)

I engaged Shu Zhen for my AD and she arranged for myself, the two mums and my bridesmaids’ makeup. She was incredibly patient and professional and I really felt at ease in her hands. Everything went super smoothly on that day and I didn’t have to worry about the schedules for the mums or bridesmaids as she helped to ensure enough buffer time and that all the timings were synced. I loved both my looks on the day and really appreciated the personalised touch up kit that she prepared. The makeup was flawless, glowy and really natural. Thanks again for being my MUA! (:

I engaged Shu Zhen as my AD MUA and I have no regrets at all! I really liked the bridal look she created for me, which looks so clean, flawless and glowy yet still manages to still look so natural. She was really good with choosing the colour palette and I did not have to give any inputs at all. Initially I was worried that the makeup would look too thick or too different from my actual look, but Shu Zhen did such a great job and I was 100% satisfied with the end look. She also helped me with my eyelid correction, which previous MUA I have engaged before were not able to do so, so I was really happy about it. She also helped me styled a braided updo which looked really elegant and had really nice textures. Would definitely recommend her services to future brides and anyone who is looking to have a natural makeover look.

I engaged Shu Zhen for my pre-wedding shoot and wedding day, and only have good things to say about her. As someone who is unfamiliar with and barely does makeup/hairstyling, I fully relied on her to come up with suitable looks for me. My only request was that I wanted something "natural" and elegant, and she 100% delivered. Shu Zhen is very skilled. She ensured my makeup and hair were perfect for each look with great care and attention to detail. There were so many steps in the process — from choosing the right products to apply in the correct order, adding false eyelashes and double eyelid tape to accentuate my eyes, trimming my fringe to better frame my face, down to adorning my braids with dried flowers — and I found it amazing that this is all second nature to her. I loved all the bridal looks she created for me. Thanks to Shu Zhen, I felt confident and comfortable on my big day, and received so many compliments from family and friends on how beautiful and "glowy" I looked. She was really a joy to talk to, and I enjoyed getting to know each other better through our conversations. I felt so comfortable that I didn't even feel shy falling asleep while she was doing my hair for my AD 2nd makeover ? (I was sleep deprived.) Wedding planning was especially challenging as I had to postpone my wedding twice, due to unfortunate COVID-related circumstances. I deeply appreciated that she was so understanding and accommodating throughout, making the journey less stressful that it already was.
