CHANG CHENG Mee Wah - 818 Choa Chu Kang Ave 1

Sad to say, after the coffee auntie left.. I don't like their coffee anymore. It's no longer aromatic and fragrance as before. It's actually bitter, and to cover the taste, they tried to make it more dilute.. worsening the taste even more! Food there was okay, but I still think the economic rice had to go. Nothing tasty and nothing nice from their stall. Fishball noodle stall (鼎记), could have been better if they add some lettuce or bean sprouts to their noodle dishes. Fishballs are chilled from fridge, not freshly made. A very modernised stall, definitely not 古早味! Roasted meat stall (荣记) one of the best stall here, roasted pork is always crispy and char siew always tasty! Zichar stall is still the same old stall as before renovation, but only cheaper in price. I'm glad they listened to our feedback to lower their prices for us, the heartlanders. Malay stall is nice, I love their nasi lemak! Always sold out fast! Not so much on the western stall, I feel that it is completely overpriced and poor customer service!

As i'm a muslim, there's only one halal shop there. So, it's just ok.. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes it's too salty/tasteless & most of the time it's too spicy

I think the coffeeshop has issues with houseflies. I spend 3/4 of my meal swatting away houseflies. I can't even enjoy my meal. I don't even want to leave my food on my table and go get my tea. Management, please do something about the houseflies. Very very irritating.

New Pao Fan (soup rice) stall at 818! Looking forward to have a try!

Bright, clean and airy coffeshop - paofan is very good - roast meat is ordinary - noodle stall above average - zi char above average Haven't tried the rest. Western food looks good with big portions.

Just an average coffee shop. The food are not fantastic. Tried rong kee and fei siong. Both are substandard.

Space is much more open with increased visibility of all the stalls after renovation. The previous self-service kiosks with digital payment went out of date quickly and failed, perhaps because it only accepted NETS, which was no longer the mainstream cashless payment compared to Paywave, QR code and wearable. Lesson learnt that tech adoption need not to have heavy investment on machinery but should focus more on user experience.

Updated 18/01/22 Visited this stall again.i would like to update my stars from 2 to 4 Seems like they saw my review and improved their cooking, food warming and clearing Q. Good start and please continue. Ppl will come back for hot and comfort food, as long the food is good and price is reasonable! Keep up ============================ Interesting Cai fan stall.. 4 staffs during peak hour 12pm+. But only 1 aunty serve and cashier. The rest of the 3 is at the background ignoring the Q. Uncle is busy cooking which is totally understandable. Another 2 ladies busy with packing container, washing container. Errm shouldn't that be non peak hour work? Importantly is to clear the Q right? Sorry maybe just me. I just don't get it. What is in their mind LOL ? now dishes review. Certain dishes (e.g. cabbages and kangkong) is cold (erm 12pm nia wor.) Certain dishes is nice (e.g steam egg) certain dishes like free flow of salt ? (e.g. steam minced meat) LOL certain dishes you will get free gift (e.g. small stone, a strain of metal scrub from you spinach or other food). Beside that the price is ok.
