Dear CHARA management, I’ve purchased Beaumont city bike on 6 Feb 22. After one month from purchased, I’ve noticed that rusty paint work in bike frame as well as in fender. I did notify to CHARA chat on 6 March 22. After long waiting for your reply, I’ve called your whatapp. I have tele-conversation with your operation manager and reply as below; 1)He can do nothing because it is beyond one week after purchase 2)It is American bike and only bike deliver to me happen this 3)He didn’t agree that it was defect and only wear and tear I would like to reply your operation team response in red 1)It is no comment- you can say what you want 2)Beaumont bike is not American made and made in China- This can clearly described on line – Please educate your operation team not to get wrong impression for Made in American made for Beaumont bike 3)I would like to stress that I am very familiar with painting work since I had set up painting workshop in my home country previously. There may be two possible scenarios that 1-Prima coat didn’t do well 2-Your company keep it unfavorable environment/condition before deliver to customers 3-Please take note that rubber dirt from brake liner cause black dirt to bike frame and indicate that rubber from break liners beyond expiry date for usage. I changed all the liners and no more black dirt- Are you really QC before deliver to customers? I’ve purchased two bikes those are relatively cheap compare to Beaumont bike and nothing happen to paint work in frame. I do understand that wear and tear can be happened over the long time. It is totally impossible to happen wear and tear within one month from purchase. Bikes are kept under shelter and well-kept. There is monthly maintenance for all my bike including waxing and polishing. That is the reason why I notices all those defects in paint work. Your operation manger claim that bike could be under rain and can be happened rusty in paint. You can see from enclosed photos of my bikes If it rusty in paint can happen in short term, many of vehicles in S’pore keep in open car park and every vehicle will be rusty in paint works. Finally, I’ve contacted to retropsec team directly and response is unexpectedly positive. They offered to provide fender and touch up paint to USA even though I didn’t purchase from them. Compare to your operation team response is very different and I can’t hide my disappointment over your company after sale service.
