Quiet and peaceful, the worship hall is air-conditioning.

The place is not bad, but people is quite unsociable and distant. But this rather problem of whole Singapore.

There's a vegetarian cafe at ground level. One can have a vegetarian meal or snack here. Ancestral worship is at level 3, ksitigarbha hall which will eventually be shifted to the basement after the building upgrade. Buddhists can register as a member. There are workshops for Buddhist youth. Level 2 is the main hall for congregating, worship and chanting. This society also offer 24x7 hr hotline for funeral service. Established in 1961, I used to accompany my late mother for chanting the sutra. My mum used to help out in the kitchen in weekend cutting vegetables.

Had our worst trip to a temple ! A trip to temple should be a peaceful one but not this temple ! The staff were grumpy with a lot of restrictions ! Imagine we were being spied on while praying ! Half way through our offerings to the deceased (when we were only given 20 mins!), we were told to shift out the coffee cups to make way for temple offerings but not a single thing was ready by the time we ended ! Kindly educate your staff not to disturb family members during offering session !

Some of the staff here are condescending and rude, which does not resonate with buddha's teaching. They are no longer how it used to be where the staff and monks used to be sincere and polite. The lift took years to renovate and it is still not completed yet. Old folks have to climb 3 storeys high each time they are here. They have extremely strict restrictions. Would not recommend this place if you are looking for a resting place for your ancestors or pray.

Very nice vegetarian food at unbelievable price.Air-conditioning ad very clean and bright eat-in restaurant. Visit this place almost every week for their daily special meal (Nasi Lemak $5.50 that day).

Fully air-conditioned temple that serves quality vegetarian meals at a token amount, but the facilities are not that great though. My last 2 visits to the temple, the lift is having some maintenance project. And since there's only 1 lift in the entire building, we can only use the stairs to go up tho the 3rd floor where our ancestors tablets are located. Mind you that the time frame between my 2 visits is around almost a year apart. The lift upgrading project took so long, and is so saddening to see old folks trying their best to climb up the long flight of stairs, just to meet their loved ones...

The staff/volunteer here are very arrogant, rude and proud. Too many restrictions. Understand covid situation that we need to make advance booking and was given 30mins allowance. During the 30mins, staff keep reminding us to take away the food. And keep update us how much time we have. Either they stand there keep staring at you or walk past you every 5 mins. We got a feeling like we are not welcome here. The lift at the temple is still not complete. How many years already? Need to take 10 years to built a lift? My 93yo grandmother wait and wait for the lift to complete, but didn’t even get a chance to come here to pray to her husband then she passed away. There’s a note pasted at the reception glass panel which state “Minimum Amount for Donation is $5”. So if those poor people come in and wanted to make a $2 donation then cannot donate la? This is a place that turns religion into a business. Even you got lots of money never ever put your ancestor here. How can Buddha be here when none of the staff “Buddhist follower” are kind.
