China Express Travel (Singapore) Pte Ltd - #04-35/36 Hong Lim Complex

I just returned from a 12 day Silk Road Tour with China Express and it was extremely disappointing. Never join and never let your elderly parents or relatives go with this company. Xinjiang is beautiful and the folks on my tour group were really nice but our tour guide (小譚) and his service were AWFUL. Half of my tour group were above 70 and some had walking difficulties and our guide did not do enough to take care of them. e.g. He would let the coach stop in front of a BUSH and make these old uncles and aunties climb over it, and of course someone fell down. More than once on this trip. This is unacceptable. It is dangerous, they can get really hurt. The company packed ~40 people onto a tour and the guide was completely incapable of managing and guiding these many people. Plus the tour is not cheap (~SGD$4000). To be herded like cattle! They booked us into a hotel with no lifts and we were on the third and second floor. The guide expected the old folks to haul their luggage up the stairs? Yet right next door was a hotel building with a lift. Why couldn't they book us in the building next door? This is absolute incompetence. While on the trip my "fantastic" guide wanted to share a travel experience with us. He brought a group of elderly on a 30 day tour of China. After the trip, he was proudly telling us, that a few participants were hospitalized and one old lady died! But, he said proudly, she died with no regrets. This is the kind of mentality. I could go on and on but I wouldn't. Xinjiang is a beautiful place that is a once in a lifetime visit. This tour and this company is seriously not worth your time, money or health. Join a more reputable one. I hope my comment can help someone.

Over-promised. We appointed this company as our travel agency to travel in Japan. But, the itinerary presented in Singapore is different from what we expected to have in Japan. Skip this travel agency as there are plenty of choices of travel agency outside.
