Tatsächlich gibt es hier ein kleines Viertel mit den üblichen chinesischen Schnickschnack. Angefangen vom Adapter bis zur Zahnpasta ist alles vorhanden. Viele Schneider, die Anzüge, Kleider und Hemden nach Maß anfertigen. Wobei diese Geschäfte wohl eher in indischer oder pakistanischer Hand liegen.
Die rund 8 Straßenzüge erscheinen mir recht professionell auf den Tourismus zugeschnitten, wenn auch hier und da versucht wird den ursprünglichen Markt Charme aufrecht zu erhalten. Zu empfehlen ist der Besuch des Hindu Tempels (Kleidung!) am Anfang dieser Straße.
Wer aufmerksam durch die Straßen geht entdeckt auch ein altes offenes Kaufhaus, dass wirklich schäbig aussieht und ist! :-) Hier werden tatsächlich noch Waren von und für Einheimische angeboten. Hinweis, die meisten Geschäfte hier schließen gegen 19.00 Uhr.
Essen sollte man hier in diesem Viertel nicht unbedingt, da ist das chinesische Viertel circa 400m weiter südlich bekannter für. Fazit, nichts besonderes. Kein besonderes Flair. Wegen des Hindu Tempels am Anfang einen 2ten Stern. Dem Original alten Kaufhaus der 3te. Sonst kann man den Bereich auslassen.

In fact, there is a small neighborhood here with the usual Chinese bells and whistles. Everything from adapter to toothpaste is there. Many tailors who make suits, dresses and shirts to measure. Where these shops are probably more in Indian or Pakistani hands.
The approximately 8 streets appear to me quite professionally tailored to tourism, although here and there is trying to maintain the original market charm. Highly recommended is a visit to the Hindu temple (clothes!) At the beginning of this street.
Those who walk attentively through the streets will also discover an old open department store that looks and is really shabby! :-) Here are actually still goods offered by and for locals. Note, most stores close here around 7pm.
You should not eat here in this neighborhood, as the Chinese quarter is known for about 400m further south. Conclusion, nothing special. No special flair. Because of the Hindu temple at the beginning of a 2nd star. The original old department store of the 3rd. Otherwise you can skip the area.
