β β β β β For $11, it was a pretty fair experience. My impressions before coming here weren't 100% positive as like what one reviewer said, the calls by the shop were always in Chinese and they mixed up my appointment dates, maybe because I made the appointment by text in english. Furthermore,they scheduled in a last minute customer just before my turn and as I was 15 minutes late, they gave my time slot to the customer. But they did ask me if I could come later as a courtesy call. That said, all my reservations disappeared as I started the facial with yang yang. Ive to add that I'm definitely not an easy customer too as I changed my appointment date previously for about four or five times! So sorry, so I guess the shop also bore with me quite well! :( Yang Yang also gave me a positive experience here! There was no hard selling, Okay,maybe some asking if I would like to take up their package, but that was about all, not pushy at all. They didn't persuade me too much after I expressed my disinterest in the packages. They did ask a few times, but it was always in a gentle and non-pushy way, more of like an asking only. One of the mildest ones I've experienced.
Also, I would like to commend yang yang for being a good and informative facial service staff. She taught me things that I never knew in all my years so far and in the multiple facials that I've been to - she mentioned that I should wash my face in an upwards, downwards motion to open the pores and then use a tissue (not my bare hands which was what I've been doing) to apply the toner, also in an upwards-downwards motion, and then apply the moisturiser /sunblock in a downwards motion, to close the pores. Mind-blown! In all my various facial visits, no one ever told me this before. I'm gonna try this method.
She also briefly mentioned what she was going to do -e.g put a mask to close the pores etc. I appreciated the brief mentions which were lacking at other places. One thing for improvement perhaps is that they can let customers know how long the individual steps in the treatment will last - e.g those long resting periods under the mask. But most other places don't do this too. Yang yang did explain to me at the start that we were going to do Gua sha and it'll be 90mins long. Lastly, she did a good job with my blackheads extraction!! I had alot and most of it were gone from my nose. I remember going for a facial somewhere else before and they left some still visibly on my nose.

I took the fave deal of $11. I would give a 3.5 stars but sadly I can't give a half! 3.5 is solely for the good facial experience and caring staff on duty.

β β β β β I bought the fave voucher, the whole facial experience leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.
The facial staff Elaine provided bad customer service.
The salon is operated by dodgy mainlanders using very dodgy products.
When I arrive, they make me wait for 20 minutes after my appointed time cos the facial staff Elaine who was supposed to serve me want to eat.
The service for the facial is bad, forceful and rude staff, poor products used.
The facial makeup remover and cleaner used cause a sting to my eye which causes my eye to water. The very first time which this happen in a salon.
For the extraction, she only remove a portion of my blackheads.
The facial staff Elaine was rude and also tries to hardsell me packages and tons of services from nail services, to massage and facial upsell throughout the facial.
After that cos I already redeem the voucher and it did not went though, I have to contact the fave staff, they refused to let me go and Elaine even scold me,
And she refused to wait for the resolution in 2 to 5 days and wanted to make me pay cash for the service, which eventually I was forced to purchase another fave voucher before they allowed me to leave.
Highly not recommended to visit Chlitina Beauty.

β β β β β Many hidden cost without membership or packages. even $5 for sea salt in the water, and hard gel is not included too. Just to make sure you sign package or membership from your first visit.
Both the nail technician changed their attitude immediately after they know I am not going to sign any package. Their smiling face switch immediately to long and dark face throughout the service.
One of them even told me she is very stress to answer my questions because I asked her a few questions as it is my first visit after I told them I will not sign package from my first visit as I need to consider and observe the product quality and service. This junior technician skill is bad too, all shaping is out of shape and her senior need to redo again for me.
I am not going back again for sure and will not sign any package there . There are many good salon in amk central.

β β β β β I had a package at another outlet. But walked in at Blk 709 because the outlet that I had package with is fully booked.
Before I walked in, the lady was smiling and asking people to do manicure and pedicure. I walked in as there was no one. Told the lady that I had package with another outlet.
Immediately, her face turned black and said that sheβs alone and no time to go and collect my card. Asked me to go back to the outlet that I had package with and she continued playing with her phone.
Very poor attitude.

β β β β β Inconsistent standard of procedure within staff.
I just finished my eyebrow threading package and I would not recommend anyone to sign a package with them. Sometimes I get a proper threading session, where the beautician meticulously threaded and plucked my brows. Other times I get my eyebrows shaved with just the eyebrow shaver, which makes me feel like they just want to get things over and done with.

β β β β β I was very lucky to get a very nice technician from Mainland China. She was the most professional of the lot.
However, I will not go back again for the following reason:
1. The crew is not professional at all. They will instantly cool down and practically stopped serving you when you refuse to buy package/membership. I witnessed one of the tech just left her customer when she couldn't get her to get the membership. She smudged one of the toes of her customer and she left it to a colleague of her to fix it.
2. Although they do have a price list but when it is time to pay, the prices quoted is entirely different from what was on the price list or quoted to me. Very dodgy.
I count myself lucky that I did not get hurt like one of the other reviews nor did I end up paying a lot more than they had advertised. I understand it is close to CNY and there is a surcharge. However, be transparent and not just quote differently from each customers. This is not right.

β β β β β Worst manicure/pedicure experience ever. Service was bad. Constant hard-sell. No fixed price. Make appointment no surcharge. After arrival was told there is $20 surcharge. Did manicure & pedicure and it took 3 hours. Attached photos of the wounds my wife got from them filing my nails. Attached receipt to show that this is not a fake review.
