Traffic jam every morning around 7.10am and every dismissal 1.15pm. Parents do not follow traffic rules. Always park at double yellow line. Make illegal u turn infront of YS one. Block the second lane n caused jam.

I find it very interesting as not many schools give students an opportunity to talk until 7:10. The teachers are very kind and helpful to students who need help. If you are feeling a little stressed or sad, then you can talk to the school counselor. There is a big library that you can find books in. Even Sherlock Sam, Nancy Drew, or large dictionaries from A-Z. Omg! I so so so so so so so love chongfu

Known Chongfu as teacher, parent and relative. Many students (7-12) are distressed, have anger issues, and personal issues, as compared to the ones with very little to none. Classrooms are arranged in a 'G-R-A-C-I-O-U-S' style. Two more (L-Y) for lower primary. However, many upper primary in the 'O-U-S' know they are not as bright as the 'G-R-A-C' ones and have voiced out. One may want to debunk this myth but it is true. Most students weak in academics, with special needs and with behavioural issues are in the latter classes, hence developing low(er) self-esteem. Too many issues BUT only ONE counsellor. She herself looks jaded, and may need counselling. While there are some nice and helpful teachers, many others like to scream, yell, and stare at students to 'instil fear and discipline'. Wasting precious time getting them to stand and observe silence just for a 'good morning'. How desperate! Some teachers have attitude and personal problems. Many of them, including HODs claim to dislike the school leaders (P, & 2 VPs) but many lack guts to leave the school. They're demoralised, dread to work yet still holding on to the job due to personal commitments. There's a 'PASSION' group where parents actively volunteer with teachers on how to improve curriculum matters. Some parents think they have the 'upper hand' and take advantage of this, so when a teacher uses a certain method or certain words which they 'feel' mustn't be used, they complain. 'Kiasu Singaporeans' fave past-time - complain. Some CAN'T even string proper sentences BUT will teach the teachers HOW they should run the class. Mdm Foo (P) would call those teachers to find out what had happened and no matter what, she'd still support those parents and 'discipline' the teachers. So there's no freedom of expression. Can't joke because students will share with parents and those parents with no sense of humour would COMPLAIN again, and Foo meets the teachers. The cycle repeats. Some of these parents were alumni and help in donations to school, so perhaps could explain the preferential treatment. Professional development are boring, with the SAME teachers dominating to answer questions to always show they're relevant. 'Promotion and performance appraisal, thus the competition to get into leaders' 'good books'. Many teachers love to be on their phones when students are in the classroom. As a parent, children have brought this habit of using phones while having dinner. When asked why, they mentioned they see the teacher as a role model because she's pretty. Back then, many students and teachers survived w/o a handphone! Teachers aren't friendly towards other teachers. They walk past and rarely smile unless it's HODs. Teachers also like to complain about harmless, powerless students in the office room. So where's THAT passion you teachers mentioned at the interview to get the job? Lost it? Burnout? Then leave the profession and do something else. Don't be unfair to students due to your incompetence and lack of professionalism. Some inconsiderate teachers buy lunch from the canteen and eat in the office room, causing the place to stink! The food smell gets trapped in the office. After a while, gets overpowering. Not being ethnic-sensitive too. Chongfu, get your teachers to stop yelling at students, causing emotional/psychological distress. Pointless teaching students about 'civics and morals (CME)' when your teachers lack them. Parents desperate to get their children to Chongfu for namesake and many children have complained that they're stressed out from the numerous homework and higher MT classes. The only thing most children look forward to is PE lessons where they get to bond with their friends over games. The best thing happened is we changed the school and now our children can 'breathe'. They are happier and teachers generally are kind. School's ranking or student's emotional wellbeing and joyful learning? You decide.
