The people there are very nice, no doubt but I honestly don’t think they know what they’re doing. Mind you, I’ve already dyed and bleached my hair a few times over the years so I’m sort of used to the routine. I left this place with visually alright looking hair but in actual fact, there were so many patches of chemical burns on my scalp. I did tell the lady my head was really burning in the process of getting it done but she brushed it off, saying it’s just part of the process. It’s been a few weeks now and my hair is the weakest it’s ever been. It falls out way too easily when I wash it or even run my fingers through it. Would not recommend this place at all, not even for the cutting. I asked her to cut my bangs as they were growing longer and they came out uneven! Never coming back.

Elly has been my reliable stylist for almost a decade. She also cuts for my husband and 3 years old son. Even though we don't live in Tampines, we keep coming back to her. She constantly looks for new styles and products to be in the trend too. Keep in up Chop 50!

Updated review: Ever since the recent "mandatory" hair wash before haircut implemented by the owner of the salon, I personally do not recommend the service. Although it was told that it was personal hygiene issue, I personally feel that it is forcing the customer to take up service they don't want. Thus, if you'd love to just have a hair cut, there're better choice elsewhere near Tampines. Even Kcut is better. Old Review: Pretty decent haircut. Hairdressers are generally polite and kind.

been with Elly the owner for 7 years now, very friendly, always give good advice and whether its rebonding, perming, coloring or bleaching, my hair has never frizzed out. she always knows the right amount and duration for treatments. even when i told her i had postnatal hair loss, she gave sound advice and shes never pushy with products. thanks Elly!

Will be my 1st and last visit. Had a quick discussion about the services I would like to get. Opted for highlight and collagen treatment / rebond (or so I heard?) which is supposed to have anti frizz, smooth & straight fiinishing even if I don't blow dry my hair. Started with hair trim and highlight straightaway, no washing done. Was ok up till now. After over 1 hour, when it was time to wash off, she pull the aluminium foil off roughly. It hurt but I did not speak up. The products seem to be lousy. Usually hair texture would be quite soft and smooth during conditioning. But my hair felt rough. Also, cold water used. I thought maybe it is better so she didn't ask my preference. After that, she started on the treatment. During the application, the smell was pungent. Anyway, I held on and sat in for 1 hour over. Then wash, same issue. She finished with using the flat iron to straighten and hair oil. All seems ok. When I went to shower at night, the moment the water touched my hair, it became the same rough texture as she washed my hair earlier. The pungent smell is still present. I washed my hair 4 times and my hands are soapy. Maybe it is too alkaline in nature. After 4 washes, my hair is still very rough and smells bad. Usually after visiting a salon, night wash not needed for the same day isn't? I think the products used is extremely terrible. My hair is straight but not smooth and soft at all. FYI, my whole life, I only did highlight. No full head colour or strong chemicals or bleach. Only did soft rebounding about 3 years ago. This experience was definitely alot different from the other times when I did highlights. Despite the above feedback, WS was polite and also checked on my hair the colouring/treatment process.

Just finished my straight collagen treatment, love the sleek look. Hair is not frizzy n easy to manage, soft. This is my 3rd treatment, prefer this than the rebond as hair looks more natural. Treatment does come with smell of herbs as it contains lavender, rosemary, sage peppermint but overall thumbs up!

Been going to Elly and her staff for about 10 years already, I am very particular about my hair and I only allow her and her staff to touch my hair because she has earned my trust. She has done almost everything to my hair , colour , straighten, treatment, cut. Not once has my hair been damaged and the results are always good. Quality products, service and skill; would recommend to anyone ??
