Good porridge with simple ingredients, and without too much artificial flavor.

Fresh Prawn Chee Cheong Fun. Freshly milled and made Chee Cheong Fun are turning up around almost every neighbourhood. This one is currently the closest one to me. The prawn version is the one to go for.

Hidden stall along Bkt Merah. Managed by a nice couple w good attitude. They even cater to my personal request of mixing the fillings. Food is good and fresh and price is reasonable.. Highly recommended..

Finally got a chance to come by here to try their Cheong Fun. Ordered a Plain and Char Siew for takeaway. The sauce is a light flavour that gives a hint of saltiness and sweetness to it. 1st taste was wondering where is the taste, then the soy sauce comes in followed by the sweetness. After that, the taste disappeared. I prefer a stronger and deeper sauce that has that omph, with some umami. The Cheong Fun quantity is OK for the price point they have. Plain is $2.30 and Char Siew is $3.30. Their steamer tray is smaller in size. Going into the Char Siew, it is those cheap coloured types. The Char Siew does not have any taste or the chow tar smell to it. For the plain Cheong Fun, we tasted a some sourness to it. It could be the rice sat out too long? ?. Texture of Cheong Fun is soft. To me, it feels squishy. The roll itself is thick. Nicely done by the chef to roll it firmly and not loose kinds. For those budget conscious, can come here. Those who prefer a lighter meal, come here. Those who wants to try a variety, come here. They also sell porridge. I never tried porridge, so no comments. Would I make a special trip here? Not at the moment, as there are other similar stalls out there. Hopefully these folks can improve their recipe to draw more of the crowd on weekends. Thank you for the food experience!

Had a great meal for lunch - Chee Cheong Fun with prawn and Charsiew. The texture of the chee cheong fun is so slick and almost look like silk. Can ask for more sambal but unlike my Melaka's version which is spicy. Price wise is affordable but have I creased 30sen for all the meal including the poddrige. They closed on Thursday.
