Why did I join Citadel Search? Well, I was dazzled by the charisma exuded by my interviewers - my Managing Director and a Senior. When they were able to give very constructive feedback about who I was beyond my resume and where I could improve at the end of the interview, that won me over. I thought then that I would grow under their guidance, which I definitely did. Thus, I joined. What did I learn? Learning what goes on during the search for the best fit candidate for our clients -- using our unique 7-Step Methodology. Learning to speak up and share my ideas and discover untouched grounds for our social media to boost engagement rates. And, one of the most important ones, learning to actively ask for feedback rather than passively receiving it. When requested, my Managing Director is very willing to take the time to understand me and tell me my strengths and weaknesses. Those constructive feedback really enabled me to understand myself better and improve myself. Other invaluable takeaways were communication skills - how do you sound more assertive and not shy away from sounding out your concerns and how do you write more persuasively with impact. What did I gain? Valuable guidance and friendships. Throughout this short 3 month internship, I really appreciate the times I had with my colleagues in the office (even if limited). Love the way we share our opinions, our ideas and even our office favourite foods - Pao Fan. I’m also very thankful to both my Managing Director and seniors for showing me the way and giving me a hand when I trip. Overall, this sums up my first ever summer internship, one that I will always hold dear.

As a Digital Marketing and Recruitment intern at Citadel Search, it has been an eye-opening experience! It was my first internship and I am grateful that my Managing Director gave me the space to try new initiatives. I really appreciate the constructive feedback given by my Managing Director as it enables me to learn from my mistakes and grow as an individual. Despite joining the team for a short period of time, I am involved in the core business functions such as sourcing for candidates, doing phone qualifications, writing executive summaries for clients and coming up with the weekly social media content. It is a homely working environment and I am happy to be surrounded by very supportive and caring colleagues. Being part of the Citadel Search family is such a fruitful and memorable experience!

I enjoyed my time as a Recruit and Digital Intern! The working environment was very conducive for growth and learning. With the Managing Director's feedback, I, alongside other colleagues, improved and continuously provided better results. I am grateful for working on various job scopes of different seniorities and being responsible for a large portion of the recruitment process. Some of the tasks I performed was designing job descriptions, sourcing and qualifying candidates and even participating in calls with clients. In doing so, I acquired various soft and hard skills throughout my work, including recruitment, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. I believe that such skills are essential for my future endeavours, and I appreciate this opportunity that helped me hone these crucial skills. Additionally, I learnt a lot about the working environment in various companies and corporate roles. As such, I would definitely recommend anyone deciding to work at Citadel Search because of the great learning environment, supportive colleagues and overall good working experience.
