Just got posted to this resort and I must say I prefer this one on the main island over the one at Tekong. The resort is pretty close to civilisation but it is still a noticeable walk to the bus stop where you have to take public transport, unlike the dedicated luxury yachts that you bring you to and fro the resort at Tekong. The free international buffet here is truly amazing and I can say its definitely world class. The rice here has so many textures in one mouthful (mushy most of the time, mixed with some decently cooked rice and some legitly uncooked rice) that it takes me on a culinary adventure everytime. Would recommend everyone to try out this buffet when you are here, don’t forget to scan your room card! (they call it 11B here… Fancy!!!) The toilets are newly renovated and are a sheer joy to use! They are spacious and modern, perfect for a high end luxury resort like this. Too bad there isn’t heated water or a jacuzzi/spa/pool area. The rooms are pretty claustrophobic though, and the colour scheme is grey which makes the space look smaller than it is. The windows creak when you open them, and there is no room service for some reason. This resort needs to hire more housekeeping instead of forcing their customers to clean their rooms. Maintenance ought to do a better job also. Even though this resort lacks some very basic amenities such as complimentary WiFi, and imposes a minimum stay period of 2 years, it is truly rewarding because they pay you to stay there! Every month on the 10th, my bank account rises by $630 before it dips like SIA stock during the Covid outbreak. But it’s ok, the meals here are free which helps a bit. What else can I say, a truly 5 star experience.

Great place to stay, there is a minimart with friendly staff selling army related stuff. The dormitories are old, but the toilets are newly renovated equivalent to a 3 star resort. All meals catered for with the options of halal, non halal, and vegetarian. The best part, everything is absolutely free. Highly recommended.

great place to bring your gf! they provide delicious meals. lodging also available so you can get down to business with your gf after dinner. however sometimes the staff can be rude. middle of the night might ask you to run down and do push up idk why

Mediocre food with an awesome IPPT 2.4km route that feels shorter than running on track. Quaint, peaceful and sometimes terribly horrid with 1 lift serving the entire dorm. Great times, will (have to) come back

Newly renovated toilets are nice, but the bunks are really showing their age. Have been monitoring a particularly stubborn ceiling leak in a certain bunk - water from the toilet on the floor above leaks through the ceiling and into the bunk. So far, it has not been properly fixed, only painted over. Decent place otherwise, mainly for the location rather than for whatever is actually inside.

The camp is pretty big but we only use two main buildings, each bunk is quite comfy, got a lot of space, can easily have your own area and can customize the area to your liking as well. They just recently renovated the toilets and now they look really fresh, can compare to swimming pool toilet and just short of being a home toilet. Cookhouse got a renovation and now looks very clean. Sometimes they serve good food and sometimes not so good, just like Russian roulette. Canteen staff very friendly, can make conversation and their food is very affordable. Distance from bunk is only across one road so walk or march there also not far. Training is close to bunk area so during training can still look up and see your laundry outside the window which will remind you that rest time will come soon. Training is quite tough but has nothing to do with the location itself. IPPT 2.4km path very good and provides a comfortable run. Overall I didn't like coming back but the facilities make the camp tolerable.

Really bad telco signals. StarHub seems like your best bet and that’s finicky still. Singtel seems to fare worst with dead spots all over since 2011 till date of this review. Newly renovated toilets get a special call out rating at 20/10.

Not my favourite staycation venue, but there's free food, lodging, clothes and group workouts. There aren't many girls here, but we still coordinate our outfits and put on complicated footwear. The decor is very Lion King - there are Simba and Mufasa statues everywhere. I'd post photos but that would land me in jail. I tried to ask the staff for the WiFi details and they gave me a late checkout.
