I had been studying Chinese by myself before I met Coco Chinese school. But I donβt know whether my Chinese is correct or not. I think it's incredibly tough to study basic pronunciation by myself.
But she teaches me well with patience, besides the lesson is enjoyable.

β β β β β I first engaged Averil for online lessons for my 10yo daughter. Averil made the lessons fun and was able to actively engage my daughter. She was also very pro-active and suggested doing face to face lessons when she realised my daughter had a short attention span and will benefit more with her being physically present.

β β β β β Teacher Averil has been my daughterβs tutor for more than a year. Sheβs focused & very engaging. We are a non-chinese speaking family. My daughter was afraid to go to school because of Chinese class. Teacher Averil has helped a lot for my daughter to gain confidence and to like to learn Chinese language. Now my daughter can understand some of the words when spoken to in Chinese compared to zero from when she started.

β β β β β I commend Teacher Averil's approach in teaching Mandarin to my two kids. She is gentle, patient and very encouraging. She has a way of simplifying things to make sure my kids understand and maintain that enthusiasm in the language. My kids are new to the formal education of the language so, this is a huge milestone for us! Highly recommended! :)
