The board and staff are dedicated individuals who have big goals and have shown how much can be done to serve the community if the first step is taken. Great to know them and volunteer there.

Volunteered and met up with the board committee and centre director. All of them were very motivated and passionate to tackle Singapore homelessness issue. Kudos to Crisis Centre Singapore.

This is a crisis shelter for able bodied people to receive accommodation while working out their own life. Please do note that the centre requires a social report from your Familt Service Centre's referral. The centre has yet to be certified by MSF but their personnels are trying to pit in their part to make Singapore life a little more bearable for the less fortunate.

Clean ,and most importantly this is a residential area and I can say most people even neighboring houses wouldn't know that it is a Crisis Centre in fact only two end units are rented for the Crisis Centre and you don't get people as discipline as them, those who smoked will actually come out of the gate and stood beside just to smoke usually is common to see 3 or 4 max smoked n chatting quietly in fact under the tree if not for the lighted cigarette I wouldn't even noticed them while walking past, keep to themselves but usually I'll give a nod and they smiled and acknowledged, I don't see those eyes that already given up and waiting to be fed, don't really know how long they were here as all I knew it is run by a church. Discipline group that leaves early for work and back late but gone unnoticed if you weren't aware ,faces change constantly which I believe is a good sign otherwise same faces will be does that already given up n without a will to move on. Just my 2cts opinion.

A volunteer came to my door to ask for donations, apparently they are directly from the centre and does not use a third party to raise funds, good practices to help themselves. A suggestion is to explain the cause they stand for and also give a leaflet so we can know more and maybe make contributions on our own in future even when no volunteer come to the door.
